Cotto coming off a beating against a loaded gloved Margo and just lost his father and didn't look good against clottey. Bradley Lost Sasakul Who gives a ****? Ledwaba Did nothing after he fought pac and wasn't good Hatton Mentally ruined by PBF never the same fighter and had a horrible camp addicted to drugs MAB brain surgery seen on his way down Thurman inactive looked horrible in his previous fight which he was hurt badly in JMM not coming off a loss but Pac never beat him clearly and got KTFO against him
Barrera was considered by most to be the best fighter on the planet when Pacquiao fought him the first time and stopped him.
So they were coming off wins and a lineal champ doesn’t matter because you’re ignorant? Like I said, count out the contenders beaten, titles won, etc. You fear the outcome.
"but...but...MAB was worried about a forrest fire. He was worried about his steel plate!" Expect this response
His resume is full of holes and no where near as impressive as SRL's are you going to continue to look ignorant and continue to suggest otherwise.
But those are facts though. Whether or not that had an effect on the fight's outcome is another story but those distractions were there for MAB and they were picked up by newspapers way before the fight took place.
Not then, from the time he owned Prince Hamed, then Morales, Tapia & Kelley. In this 5 fight span over 2 years from 01' to 03' when he fought Pac for the first time, most boxing journalists had MAB at the top of the heap. Hopkins had only just became big around the same time when he took out Trinidad but fought no one of note in the same time span. Jones on the other hand did have a claim, but of course fought no one of note until he stepped up to HW to fight Ruiz in 03' and then getting a controversial decision against Antonio Tarver the same year. The competition Barrera fought in this time from the time he knocked the Prince off in 01' is what had him at most folks p4p #1 including HBO att which was both Jones & Hopkins network as well.
At no point in his career was MAB ranked #1 P4P fighter in the world but both RJJ and Hopkins were and they were both #1 or #2 before and around the time Pac fought MAB. That is a false statement sir was he a top fighter yes but ranked #1 that's nonsense.
I've never been scared you're the crazy man trying to argue pac's resume is better than SRL's. SRL's win over Duran alone is better than anything Pac ever did.
No it isn't, I'm not making it up. I clearly remember the time. After beating Prince who was way up the ranking followed by avenging the Morales loss Barrera was considered #1 by HBO. Hopkins & Jones both were #1 at one time yes, but not at that point.
