My point was, despite being known to exist now Ugas is not going to do anything special for PPV buys. At this point even if Manny won he probably wouldn't have set any records with Spence either. However it would have for damn sure done several 100K more buys then Spence/Ugas will.

No but I think that his purses could go up substantially from his 300k he received fighting Porter. Maybe I misread but you didn't seem to think what Manny did for Horn was that substantial. Ok I read who your comment was directed at. Now I get it. lol

It may have read like that, getting my point across clearly isn't always my strong suit on here lol. I'm more referring to what Spence is gonna make now, Manny was gonna be his big payday. There is no one else around that's gonna make him the kind of money Manny would have. You're right Ugas will more than likely get a good raise, but Spence is gonna lose millions having lost out on the chance to make his star off Pac.

For sure Spence lost big time in this. Not only in this fight but fights to come. I didn't realize your comment was directed at Olu originally. lol

I think it’s fair to say Ugas displayed better skills than Pacquiao but I won’t call it a schooling. Schooling is what Mayweather did to Pacquiao.

All these dumb theories! Spence saw how good Pac looked in training, turn back the hands of time. Behind the scene politics. LOL. Here's one, Pac knew father had caught up to him. He and his team paid Spence to fake the eye injury, so Manny won't get destroyed in his last fight.

I thinking you are missing the point is that starting from the Mikey Garcia fight Spence has been getting about $15-20 Million per fight. With Ugas notoriety beating or retiring Pacquiao he now has name recognition which means a unification with he and Spence will make Spence at least $15-$20 Million which would not have been the case before as Ugas had no name recognition as he does now. He is now recognisable a name like Shawn Porter, Mikey Garcia and Danny Garcia which makes big pay days for Spence and Ugas in the unification fight. I hope what I am saying is clearer.

I don't think his purses are that high. 8-10 which is still good. But I don't feel that Ugas is going to get that much of bump in popularity to offset what Spence lost in the purse fighting pac and what beating him would have done for his career.

They started creeping up with his PPV numbers especially at the higher prices they could charge as well as selling out big arenas. This is why Canelo is keen to fight him in the future as the promotion could be off the charts.

My man I think we all need to find ways of addressing each other with civility. One thing I believe we should all have in common is our love for the fight game. You and I while we agree on some things are clearly on opposite sides of other topics like the Canelo vs Plant matchup. Yet we discuss things with each other with civility. In fact when people have different views which I want to hear it makes me revisit my assumptions to see if I feel they are valid.

Its shame. Missed out on a huge payday and a significant scalp. Tbh, he is kind of in no mans land. What happens now? Ugas? Which is a pretty dull fight tbh. The usual names at 147 that he has already faced? Yawn. Only fight of significance is Crawford. He may as well put everything into that fight and the retire. He clearly doesn't have that much time left. The eye could be a problem and the accident clearly has long lasting effects.
