That's how fighters step out on that slippery slope. "Can't believe I lost to 'that' guy."

Then they lose to them twice. Then it becomes a game of "I can't go out like that."

Probably lost in translation. I think Pac knew exactly what he needed to do and was seeing everything, but couldn't execute because of leg cramps and overtraining.

They need to give up the hills running.

    Easiest?

Buddy, you've always had a hard time with elusive/high-guard counterpunchers with a modicum of timing and the courage to actually exploit your gaps (unlike say Clottey). :dunno

In his prime i have no doubt whatsoever that Pac with his footwork darting in and out from various angles would give the flat footed Ugas a beating but this version of Pac who stood flat footed in front of a bigger fighter with longer reach who can fight this version of Pac would lose again in a rematch.

Pac-Man was busier and showed better skills compared to Ugas. Ugas was stiff as tree, and in my opinion he actually lost. A rematch will be most logical, it will erase the last Saturday's syntax error.

People ignoring the fact that Ugas got busted up in a close and competitive fight. Pac can make adjustments in camp (like dialing the training down by 20-30% and avoiding those stupid hill runs) and win the rematch.

Ya he was busier swinging at air. Yugas took 8 rounds. And yes Ugas is stiff like a tree and slow. Which makes this worse.

Absurd. Pacquiao lucked into a fairly perfect night to bow out from the sport. Ugas doesn't hit hard enough or have the style to put a beating on old man Pac, but he's good enough to show Pac and the world that this is end end of the journey (while still allowing Pac to have his moments). It was as good a performance as Manny will have against a high level operator at this point, and again, all things considered, Pac did fairly well.

Spence would have put a BEATING on Pac, and it would have made the boxing world sad. Pac has never been beaten down, and no one wants to see that (better to get Marquez'd than what Spence was going to do to him).

    I don't think he'll take a rematch.

They don't score fights based on how the fighter's face looks. Slow Ugas was hitting Manny clean. Ugas should sent a telegraph next time to warn him that he is throwing a punch.

You'd be surprised how busted up fighters often look even two hours after a fight. They interview them in the ring. They don't seem too bad. Then a couple hours later, the swelling has really started to kick in. The blood pools under the skin and bruises pop up everywhere.
