Will Errol Spence be 100% once he returns or will he not be the same due to all the problems he had?

Don’t want Spence to become a what if sort of situation in terms of coming back and not being the same and having those unanswered questions about him

He's done enough and proven himself against almost all the available opposition to be a what if , he'll be a has been in case he doesn't look like himself in the ring.

Don't like to be negative but returning back and performing at the same level after a retinal detachment doesn't seem likely.

Seems unlikely. Big car crash. Injuries. Inactivity. Injury. More inactivity. Probably not going to be able to regain or retain prior form.

And to be honest Who's fault is that ??? No one to blame but himself for getting in that car & driving drunk & speeding. Obviously he wasnt thinking of his wife & kids then was he. Not the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree obviously

Let's hope that, either way, he serves as an example for future stars not to play things too slow.

Errol "Kovalev" Spence has ruined his career with alcohol. You simply can't be at the top of this game and also be a booze hound like Spence. If one thing doesn't happen to you, another will.

He looked good enough against Garcia, but the retina stuff is likely to snuff out his career potential.

    He's managed his career well.

Zero top level wins yet he's still considered an elite fighter and relevant.

“A man who’s thinking or worried about getting hit is not gonna have a good sense of anticipation. He will in fact get hit.”

    – Cus D’Amato

Spence has an injury that could cause permanent blindness in one eye. He will be thinking about that every time he laces those gloves up. He will simply have to come to terms with the fear of taking that one punch that blinds him. Accepting it as a calculated risk for the life he has chosen.

Sugar Ray Leonard faced the same decision and rose above. Spence is not Sugar Ray Leonard.

He is not married. He looked pretty good against Danny Garcia and beat him up. In fact never seen anyone dominate Danny like that. Methinks a lot of wishful thinking here . Spence is fine.

This is my initial thoughts when I heard of his injury. That eye is gonna be a weakness for him, and if he decides to lace them up again his opponents will take advantage of this

He looked excellent to me in his last bout against DG. A bit leaner, maybe. That said, one has to wonder if he's starting to come apart.

I have some doubts, which I hope I am wrong about. I think his mental aspect could be his biggest hurdle for him to returning to form. But time is not on his side.

I'd suggest a tune up fight before getting in with any major ranked boxer. He looked very good vs Danny G, so I don't get the "will be come back" stuff about the carcrash. The eye is new.
