My most memorable moment is related to the fact that I was one (of the few) who for long refused to see Manny Pacquiao for the extraordinary, colossal figure he has been for a long long time. I was convinced Ledwaba would win, but he didn't. I was convinced Barrera would win, but he didn't. I can say the same about Morales, Marquez, De La Hoya, Pacman proving me wrong time and and time again but still not dispelling my doubts. Then came Cotto and I thought, here we go, a strong, complete, robust welterweight superstar, there is no way on Earth Pacquiao, climbing up from Flyweight, would win it. And I was there, for the first time in my life in the US, for the first time in Vegas. Then, Pacquiao put on what was quite possibly the single best performance of his entire career, simply destroying Cotto. I could not believe my eyes. For most part of their career I thought Mayweather was better but today I think that 2009-2010 Pacquiao would have defeated him.
Granted, the experience was unique not least due to that being my first time in Vegas, etc., but the fight itself and Pac's performance that night is truly something spectacular if you think about it. It just does not seem so extraordinary any longer since he went on to dismantle Clotttey, Margarito, Mosley and so many others with ease.

    Honourable mentions for me are:

    - Lennox Lewis vs. Vitaly Klitschko - the last heavyweight classic of our time between two ATGs
    - Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao - needs no explanation
    - Roy Jones Jr vs. Antonio Tarver No 2 - the unthinkable happened
    - Felix Trinidad vs. Bernard Hopkins - someone mentioned before that for astute fans this was not an upset but Tito still had an aura of invincibility and watching Hopkins overcome that (two weeks after 9/11, in kind of an end of the world apocalyptic atmosphere) was still unique. At the beginning of the 12th I still expected Tito to land a left hook and end it somehow. He didn't.
    - Morales vs. Barrera I - this was around the time I got into boxing and this fight was first "holy sh*t" experience for me. Subjective, but I still enjoy it more than other great wars of the era such as the Gatti - Ward trilogy or Corrales-Castillo I.
    - Bowe vs. Golota II - I watched it not long after I became interested in boxing ( from a video recording ) and I was mindblown that guys of such size can endure so much punishment and deploy such warfare. The Boardwalk Hall audience was also great that night. Shame it ended the way it did but that is I guess part of the drama and the reason the fight is so memorable.
    - This one is very subjective but (me being Hungarian): Istvan Kovacs v. Antonio Diaz for the WBO featherweight crown in January 2001, the first time a Hungarian fighter won a professional world title. It was a title Naseem Hamed gave up, facing (and then losing to) Barrera instead of his mandatory Kovacs.

So why not ban him for life? If you can’t answer that, you have no leg to stand on. No commission would ever allow anyone to fight again if a fighter had bad wraps. Margarito was never a draw so it’s not like boxing needed him. CSAC screwed up and had no way to fix their blunder. They would never admit they made a mistake in getting played by the opposite coaches tactics.

No dude, doesn't work that way. Answer my questions. They're simple questions.

It works exactly that way. Had Margarito really been using banned substances in his gloves, they would have tossed him forever.

You can't answer the why and how the tainted wraps were used. There is no justification for Capitillo using old, tainted wraps. Not 1 single Margarito supporter has answered how the old wraps were used by accident. If not by accident, why they were used. Until you can give me legit answers to these questions, you can't say ****.

Don’t need to answer your dumb questions. Margarito was not the banned. Why wasn’t he if he was using illegal wraps?

For the third time. He didn't use illegal wraps. He was caught before he had a chance to.

Why did Capitillo use old wraps?
How didn't Margarito know old wraps were being used?

Once again, a Margarito sympathizer cannot answer these questions. Don't feel bad. You're not the first to be stumped by these simple questions.

An attempt also warrants severe punishment.

Round 1 of Pacquiao vs Morales 1

When Pacquiao lands a flurry against the ropes, Morales loses his **** and fights back chasing Manny across the ring. Gets me hyped up !

Round 12 of the same fight

Morales switching southpaw and starts getting caught, doesn’t switch back to orthodox to prove a point and stands his ground.

    What a fight

But your whole premise is that he cheated against Cotto. So again, why wasn’t he banned for life?

Agreed! I was asked why he didn't get a life ban. My best guess was, he got caught before he actually used them.

This the fight that makes me believe Ali would KO Tyson.
