Hrgovic has no money behind him so he’ll need these bum fights until he works his way into a mando slot. Just they way it is unfortunately.

If no one wants to fight him, why not just make him mandatory challenger?

If they're all refusing and he'd basically be part of the title eliminator and everyone else refuses, then surely he should become mando automatically.

    Austria…that seems a bit random?!
Good to see Hrgovic return though.

He knocked out Haris Radmilovic out 4 times! Must be a devastating puncher.

Hrgovic TKO1 in another terrible matchup

I'm a believer and sympathizer of Hrgovic, but he really should be staying more active. There's no reason he can't have 4-5 fights like this a year.

Hadn't heard of Radonjic before this fight was announced. Hrgovic probably takes this in a couple of rounds.

I like this nickname "hrgy bear" I'm using it for him from now on, all credit to you for coming up with it.

No one wants to fight Hrgovic unfortunately.

The IBF mandatory will be due at the end of 2022 so he’ll have to wait for a shot until then / a big fight.

He doesn’t beat Joshua or Fury right now but needs experience against a Parker / Chisora / Whyte type to see if he’s ready for the top 2.

The guy is a world class though, wouldn’t be surprised if Joshua or Fury duck him.

Absolutely correct. The money they are offering quite simply isn't worth it.

Last I heard they offered over $300k for the fight which is more than most heavyweights male in the top ten.

if they win they get the mando and a likely $10m payday against AJ

They offered Hunter $363K which would of been 60% of the purse bid Hearn won.

It's decent money they are offering but not great. Luis Ortiz made $500K when he first fought Wilder and $375K vs Kaufmann and $250K in his last fight vs Flores. Charles Martin made $250K vs Washington which was also an IBF eliminator.

So what they are offering isn't a pittance in fact it's a decent payday for most heavies without a title but it's not great money either. Hrgovic poses a far greater risk than fighting Washington, Flores or Kaufmann people facing him will want more to possibly risk losing when they could just wait and hope another better opportunity opens up.

While the chance of facing Joshua for millions is the prize it's clear many don't fancy the job of beating Hrgovic to earn it and want that big payday not backing themselves to get the win.

The job of beating Hrgovic is empty talk.
If some ranked top15 boxer had assumed that if he will fight vs Hrgovic he will beat him easily and Hrgovic isn't treat, he had took this for 300k with pleasure.

I suspect a lot of these gladly now had booked fight vs Pulev for example, even if their purse was 300 k : surname on resume, ranking place and if we know how he looked vs A.J and he is 39 y.o, soon will be 40 y.o.

The same Hunter, if he was so confident that he will beat Hrgovic and will not get injured?
Why not, he might get sooner or later fight vs A.J - Usyk battles winner for decent purse, put himself on the big map.
If he does not want this, still, ranking increased, Hrgovic had been beaten, resume had looked better, next paychecks and attention from media: better.
    Nope. No fight.

The guy might be a Lovejoy but you never know for sure. He's a lot younger and can definitely punch.

He offered that to Hunter based on Hunters profile. Hunters profile is smaller than Ortiz's due to Ortiz fighting Wilder. He fought for $500k because he was fighting for a belt against Wilder.

I would say $363k is about right money for Hunter. Particularly if you believe you win that fight. If you dont think you win the fight then fair enough walk away. Thats only Hunter on top of that they offered similar money to Bakole, Wallin, Kabayel none of which get the same paydays as above and all turned it down
