-What fighters has he fought that haven't been paid to lose?
-what elite fighters has he fought that aren't 35+?
-what prime fighters has he fought where they haven't had conditons like short camps/rehydration clauses?

Technically every fighter bar Floyd has been paid to lose against Canelo.

 

This looks about it. It's not bad, but it's also doesn't quite match the overzealous fanaticism his fans tout his resume to be. Trout and Lara, while very good, haven't done much for themselves in their careers other than have a good win and hold a belt. Trout and Lara are almost lifted to HOF calibre fighters by the ginger bread men on the board.

And this all goes back to having 4-5 belts to choose from in a division and looking for the easiest belt to capture and move up again. Noobs still think guys move up in weight to "challenge themselves". Calculated title hopping is what is is.

That being said, canelo unifying at 168 is a good thing. Can't harp on him for that. I assume we'll add Plant's name to the list soon.

Its quite obviously not a prime opponent it was a carefully picked opponent By Canelos team. Billy became 168lb world champion when Frank gifted the wbo belt to him fighting Shefat Isufi lmao..

Billy explicitly mentioned in an ifl interview after his mediocre performance against the ghost of Martin Murray that his timing was off and that he wouldn't fight Canelo until he had one more fight ( Canelos team convinced him otherwise)
