Eye test reveals that he's got freakish punching power on his short punches, decent boxing ability , he throws probing shots until he finds an opening and then mixes in some hard shots, has good power in the clinch and stuff.

But he can't fight going backwards and tends to cover up until the flurry ends, it was glaringly obvious in his fight with Deines, what I believe is he's too accustomed to walking down his opponents and he'll have problems with fighters who punch in combinations and press him back by using angles.

Plus for a fighter so highly rated he hasn't fought any highly rated LHW except Gvozdyk , he's 36 and his days are numbered in the sport and unless he lands some good fights in a period of 2-3 years, he's gonna retire as a major what if.

    What are your thoughts ?

    It's hard to say.

He was pretty much past his best before he hit his prime.

I'd say he's more subtle than given credit. Again a bit like Golovkin was avoided when at his best. He's very good at what he does and that's all that matters.

He is old, over the hill uncle.
Overrated he is by some western boxing fans cos opinions that boxer from not proper country should be bad.
Bet ofc does have a lot of flaws and now looks that is old, over the hill and a bit rusty.
We should not forget that Bet was elite amatuer vs boxing " amateurs " like young in prime Usyk and Kovalev etc alike boxer. He was world class amateur.
Bet did not had boxed in pros for judges cards cos he had real boxing business IQ about TRUE core of professional boxing business. ;):):nonono
Casual claims are "" he did not fought anyone ".
Vs prime shape Beterbiev and with decent time for training camp and without shitty clauses had agreed only one notable boxer: Gvozdyk.
Now it is so easy to talk how overrated they were, uncle is now old and over the hill.

I might compare Bet vs Buatsi: vs even old Bet Bolotniks after 4 rounds had been delivered in hospital.
Bet now is over the hill, rusty and crows might start to bring him in their talks. While vs prime Bet they did not had balls to step in the ring.
    Pro boxing is JUST BUSINESS.
To rise cash cows with proper origin and fanbase, then feed them over the hill uncles, journeymans, gatekeepers etc and milk with this.
Create boxing heroes with proper fanbase.

Boxing fans are most stupid fanbase among all kind of sport fans. Most tribal, nationalistic and like kids.
Feed to prospect over the hill uncles and GOD is rising up to milk fans.
Feed short notice journeymans, KO artists are born.
Feed guy with proper origin, cash cow is born.
Level in fanbase is like another world even if compare with soccer fans.

    Normal outcome.
Bet when did not had turned 36 y.o was better than Canelo Cash Cow and Kovalev.
    Only Gvozdyk had balls.

Will see how cherry picker CLEBUTEROL HORSEMEAT will pick uncles, he is GOOD CHERRY PICKER.

Hard to tell, against the opposition we've seen him against he has glaring strengths and weaknesses. The man's power is monstrous, but he is chinny in a Trinidad sort of way (put down early but tough as hell to keep down) and he is very hittable. With a some what shallow resume he is probably still the best at light heavy Bivol outpointing him or Smith Jr. catching him aren't out of the question. Overrated for here, woefully underrated everywhere else

I think your description could have been for Early GGG....apart from he does not have the same chin a GGG...not many do!

    Where he is chinny?
Western superstars and idols with proper passports did not had rushed to fight vs Gvozdyk not alone vs Prime Beterbiev versions.

He is hittable, like Clenbuterol dumb idol ( Canelo is MEDIOCRE LEVEL BOXER ).

That I totally agree with and I do feel he should be treated as such rather than some killer who folded under the first time someone challenged his authority when he's nearing 40 or so.

But you'll see people hyping him to the moon and when he might not perform well they'll claim he was never good to begin with.

So I believe it's important to rate a fighter accordingly and assess their flaws rather than getting set up for disappointment later on.
