Ranking the best light welter at No.1 the second best at No.2 etc. who were the top 10 light welters of all-time?
That looks pretty good too me. I would say Duran and Armstrong would have been at the top of the list had they competed there at length.

Day fought Champion Lou Ambers in a non-title fight in 1937 and was robbed. Ambers taking heavy punishment in last three rds. and the bell saved him from getting knockout. The Referee giving Mr. Day the nod. Armstrong vs. Davey Day Welterweight Title (they were both lightweights) Day was a fill -in for Montanez (who didn't want to fight Hank) on short notice. Day didn't have a warm up fight 4 months. He lost the fight at 2:49 of the 12th rd TKO. Referee looked at Armstrongs bloody face and said, "You can rest now." Armstrong was helped out of the ring, suffering broken left hand, right severely bruised, deep gash left eye lid, side of his face look like chopped liver. Davey went home to Chicago with a sore eye. Armstrong and Ambers were both offered $35,000 for Day rematch, neither wanted any part of Davey. In 1940 the N.B.A. told Ambers if he doesn't fight Davey Day on 3/22/1940 as scheduled, he'll be stripped of hisTitle, and was! The NYSAC broke with the N.B.A. and kept Ambers as their Champion. Add on Jenkins and Zivic who wouldn't fight Mr.Day. Google Armstrong vs. Davey Day, and read the description of photo of Day and manager getting off the train in NY to fight Pedro Montanez the #1 welterweight contender (147 lbs) and was the 3/1 favorite. Day came in at 136 1/2 lbs and ripped out his eye, referee stopping the slaughter in the 8th rd winning by TKO. Day was ahead of Montanez in the match. Mike Jacobs made this fight as an elimination bout for the winner to fight Armstrong, when he returns from London. Guess what Mike Jacobs bypassed Davey and let Montanez (the loser) to fight his Golden Goose. All of this information is verified from newspaper clippings of unbiased scribes.
That is true, most of his lengthy career( 1958-1975) he fought in the 140 lb category in the 1960's before moving up to 147 lbs, and taking the Welterweight title from Curtis Cokes in April 1969.
