Tyson was all over the place with those trainers I don`t care about his age he was not the 10th best heavyweight of the 80`s in that bout, he was a mess.

    Really mark.

    Not even top 10.

Tell me the 10 boxers in the 80's who were flat out better than Tokyo Tyson.

Tyson was completely shot when he fought Lewis. Lewis in my opinion wouldn't beat prime Tyson.

Why do people always have issues with who fighters pick in these interviews? Sorry Mike but you're wrong, Ruddock actually hit you the hardest, I would know because I watched it! His responses were all reasonable ffs

So in 1990, all of these fighters you just listed would have done better than Tyson against Douglas? Is this what you believe?

Couldn`t do any worse, Douglas slapped Mike all over the ring apart from the knockdown, Holmes was far better than Douglas, Spinks would have been hardder to hit than Tokyo Mike and Tubbs handspeed would have been a huge problem for Douglas unless you asking about the shape these fighters were in 1990.

Cooney was far better than Tokyo Tyson, Cooney v Douglas would have been a little like Cooney v Holmes except that Douglas was a poor man`s Holmes, a prime Holmes would have dealy with Tokyo Mike far easier than he dealt with Cooney.

I agree. Steward-era Lewis was a supremely amazing fighter, top 8 ATG for sure. But, even though I have Mike several notches down as overall ATG, his style and punch would have caught up to LL sooner or later. Lennox knocked out in 6, though he'd most certainly give a a far better performance early on than anyone Mike faced in the 80s. Think a much, MUCH better Pinklon Thomas in the rounds he won against Mike. That would probably be Lennox through most of the fight...but Mike in the 80s had too great of hand speed and power to NOT catch LL flush at some point.

I really appreciated the great Lennox Lewis, but even prime Holyfield would have had major trouble with prime Mike, and I rate Evander just a bit over LL (and quite a bit above Mike) as ATG at heavy.
