Nice vid explains AJ`s simple but effective style, how underrrated are AJ`s boxing skills? How should his jab be rated out of 10?

Let me simplify it for you...

HIS POWER REPEATEDLY BAILS HIM OUT. It's the ultimate deterrent.

If he had no power, he'd have lost to every opponent since Klitschko, and throw in Whyte before that.

So you're criticizing him because he has power and uses it ?

    Pure and simple.

It's heavyweight in a nutshell, in fairness - very few of the top guys rely on primarily speed and skill, the majority rely on power to a significant extent.

Sure, AJ has significant power, but if you take away that threat from every heavy equally, you have a whole different division.

So you mean if he didn`t punch properly he`d get beat? His jab is very good.

No, he'd get beaten even if he punched properly. He's fragile and wilts under pressure quite quickly. Without that said deterrent, he'd be Artur Szpilka.

His jab and 1-2`s are far better than Szpilka`s and he`s more dynamic.

Now when a boxer can only do 2 or 3 things we call it "simplicity", and we say that it is a virtue.

Lol. Who are you trying to fool?

"Make a virtue out of necessity". It's funny to see that this idiom exists in english too. Well, this is pretty much the definition of this thread. As if AJ could do anything else than "simplicity" LOL.

No you loon, I'm criticizing him because he's the perfect example of a mediocre talent that's consistently bailed out by his power. If Wlad and Ruiz didn't have to fear what was coming back at them, Wlad would have finished him and Ruiz would've stopped him the next round instead taking his time in an effort to not make any mistakes and walk onto anything big.

Stop using backticks Mark, use the apostrophes... it's really ****ing annoying. This is bad 1-2`s, this is good 1-2's.;)

Well holy ****!!!! You mean he knows how to throw one twos and jab well!!!:scared1 Yeah, so do most half decent fighters. Szpilka however, as a southpaw, has many intangibles and nuance in his game that AJ lacks, hence why he had an easier time with Wach than Whyte did, and why he had an easier time with Wilder than many of his opponents did. I'm not saying that to praise Szpilka, who I also don't think is great, but to point out just how useless AJ would be if he had no power.

Cool. You could say the same about Wilder though, so not sure what point you're trying to make.

So my assumption was right. You're criticizing him because he's a big puncher and can use that to his advantage. Keeping an opponent honest is an advantage of being a huge puncher. I don't see why you're doing it

Tbh you're not wrong, and i agree to an extent but thats just his style. He is just a basic boxer puncher. Not being cautious enough can also potentially get you KO'd against Joshua because of his power. It's not a one way thing. At the very least he's not like Wilder who's arguably a one trick Pony but even then i don't dislike Wilder because he's a one trick pony. in terms of pure skill imo he's better than most heavyweights today besides Usyk and Fury. It is what it is. Can't get mad at him for having power.

Wow what a terrible argument. If fury didn’t have fast feet he’d be a terrible fighter. His feet bail him out all the time.
