Warren announced the plan after his devastating first round stoppage. I think DDD stops Bryan in 3 rounds.
It will be another 1st round stoppage. At max 3. It will give Dubois a paper title but not sure what else it will bring him.
Yep, he would annihilate Bryan who is painfully slow and is very open to right hands in particular. One of the US journalists was saying that Warren is trying to get a deal with Showtime to carry Daniel & Joyce’s fights, which would give him some extra dough to make big events feasible over here.
He’s still so raw. People will say last nights win was “devastating” but he was swinging wildly at times, he was proper open. Ok maybe you can with that level of opponent but if the Joyce rematch was next what has he learned? He’s very young still and I think he needs to be treated as such and built up slowly against tough durable opponents. Not given walk overs for paper titles and an elevated world ranking. It only increases the pressure on him and demands to fight someone a lot better than him.
Even someone like old Pulev would totally jab his head off. I don't mind him taking a step back, but as you said yourself, he's not going to learn anything from these guys who just fall over. If Warren really wants to get the kid some experience, give Jonathon Rice or someone similar a call.
Bryan would be an okay fight but just don't insult my intelligence that Dubois should be forced on Joshua for beating such a C class plodder.
Not a terrible fight before the end of the year. I can see Frank putting Dubois in with someone limited but with a decent record in 2022 like a Zhang.
So Dubois will be the WBA mandatory for Joshua and Joyce will be the WBO mandatory. AJ's days are numbered. Frank has him cornered.
Frank will have to pay a huge amount of money to Don King for this belt or give him options on Dubois. I just don’t see this one happening to be honest. I think that the final price will be too high, as whatever Frank thinks he has agreed to now won’t be final. As a fight its a mismatch, but I understand the trinket belt might mean something to someone.
