Dazn price increase confirmed

I've only watched US based fights on it since getting it for the Smith v Canelo fight. The UK stuff is garbage so far. Fight Camp was tragic really.

The £1.99 thing was ok for what it was, but £7.99 for more of the same.

I’m cancelling today. I wouldn’t really have a problem paying £8 if the cards were better but they’re not. I’ll dip in and out if there is a huge fight on there but it doesn’t look likely in the foreseeable as the big money guys want to stay on PPV.
I’m not as impressed by Smith vs Fowler as a lot of people on here seem to be either.

 

I’ve cancelled now. Like others have said, my subscription runs until the middle of the month so I’ll still get the Warrington fight fine.

 

Bill comes off for me on the 1st of every month so will keep for the Warrington card because I don't want to miss it,then it's getting cancelled for the foreseeable.

You must have agonised over this decision like me for a fraction of a second when the news broke of £7.99

 

Given the current content 49p would be inappropriate.

 

You don't actually have to pay if you cancel do you or resubscribe, so in essence, you could just use it as a pick and mix and if any big fights do become available just subscribe then cancel, seems a bit of a fatal flaw in there plan, you can't exactly do that with Sky and others

If I remember correctly, when I subscribed it says if I cancel I can't re subscribe, but I could pause the subscription to avoid that.

 

Hearn needs to make clear to the buying public if Joshua/Whyte are coming to DAZN as part of their monthly package. If the Joshua/Whyte PPVs were included at eight quid a month then you would have effectively a two thirds discount on the Sky PPV cost plus whatever is scheduled for that month. If not then he’s frankly a charlatan expecting punters to pay eight quid a month to watch the level of boxing currently on offer.

DAZN/Matchroom/Hearn are clearly hoping that not many bother to cancel their subscriptions (no different to any other streaming platform in fairness).

I’d suggest cancelling now- there will be offers for customers to come back and to pay up front for a year in the near future.

 

I cancelled mine a few weeks ago and I've just checked out of interest, and it's already 8 quid if I want to resubscribe.

It's a no from me.
