Should AJ fight Usyk on the outside?

Yes, he should use his height and reach and outwork Usyk early because Usyk probably wont be very active in the first couple of rounds. Usyk will press the issue as the rounds go by and he will be looking for the knockout. Joshua should then take the opportunity to counter, preferably with a right hand down the pipe.

I've been saying this for a while now and based on what Joshua's been saying, this is precisely what he's going to do. Unless Usyk starts running around the ring from the opening bell like Ali, then Joshua's not going to go in there to try and pressure Usyk because he knows his roid infused muscles will deplete his gas tank in seconds. He's going to come in light to box, make Usyk come to him and try to set him up.

I think he wears down Usyk and stops him no matter what range he chooses to fight from

He`ll get caught a lot on the inside, he doesn`t like fighting on the inside and if he fights at Usyk`s range he could be out-boxed by the superior boxer.

I have nothing to add to this, you sum up exactly what I think will go down

Aj was asked what he will weigh for this fight? He could come in heavy and blast usyk out, but imo he will be quite light to make sure he has stamina

He will use his range with the jab and try and entice him to come forward, open up and make mistakes, then Aj might let the right hand fly

I do think he will take a cautious approach and look for the w first. If a knockout comes? He will take it, but imo Aj will likely box quite safe to a decision and win 9 or 10 rounds. Maybe he will let his hands go at stages, as it's hard to stay disciplined for 12 rounds

I like usyk. He has been a great cruiser, but merely a good heavyweight. I don't want to underestimate him, but he is not going to beat Aj

    Yeah. A.J will beat him.
This will not change that A.J's papa is Andy Ruiz Jr. Always will be his daddy.

A.J not likely will beat nor Wilder nor Fury. Fury just will be too large and Wilder not enough old and with enough power to KO A.J.
Nothing wrong for Usyk: paycheck he still will get and this is core of pro boxing nothing more.
Especially if he really uses Loma's dad to help him prepare for A.J fight, he really is crazy.
Better had hired Andre Ward or even Ottke to help him.

He most certainly could be outboxed, however I still see Joshua wearing him down and stopping him with brute force if the fight goes there

You think so much you thought Jeff Horns fidgeting and thrashing like a lummox was brilliant movement and rhythm Ive never been so far off the mark in my entire life so I'll go ahead and stick with my gut instinct as a long time observer

yes. that is the best range for him to land his power shots. however, I am expecting Usyk to shine in this one and out work, out move, out punch and generally make Joshua look old. Possibly stop Joshua by the 10th.

Ward was nowhere near Usyk`s level.

Yeah well... that thinking told me he'd beat Pacquiao dip****. I merely had my fingers crossed he could carry that over to Crawford. Good for Bud though, he figured him out, I've never EVER seen him hold an opponent more.

I would start of leaning back and using his reach advantage, and force Usyk to come after him and use energy.

Usyk often waits for his opponent to go after him early and then figures them out and goes after them late, but Usyk has never fought someone his a considerable height/each advantage over him that I can remember, besides Joyce, but Joyce and AJ are different levels.

AJ should use his jab and reach, then try and line up good solid straight rights, and if he hurts Usyk, then go after him with carefully timed aggressive combinations.

I predict AJ will win the first 2-3 rounds, but Usyk will start to come into more, win a few rounds himself, but wouldn't surprise me if the score cards are even we approach the last few rounds. I think at some point AJ will hurt Usyk and score a knockdown, and perhaps finish Usyk.

I don't see Usyk staying on his feet throughout the fight. Either AJ KO's or a knockdown will get him a points victory.
