Holyfield didn't box smart against Bowe maybe you want to rewatch those fights. He was looking to trade all the time with the bigger guy.The bout that he did box Bowe, he beat him.

Foreman on the other hand could afford to trade with Bowe since he has the size, power and durability that Holyfield is missing. Foreman >> Bowe.

He only won due to a lucky punch. Moorer out-boxed him all night long.

I agree that Foreman has the size and power, but a 70s Foreman's durability isn't that impressive to me given the way Lyle put him on his arse.
But even if we assume he has, given that Bowe was more skilled, in a trade off, Bowe lands double the punches on Foreman, then the punches he receives.

Bowe is not a mover , he'll be there for George . This ain't Holyfield popping Bowe's chin, but the most powerful heavyweight puncher of all time. More skilled? George actually had a better jab and his prowess at cutting the ring off is well known. Bowe will have to fight and he gets early

George is indeed a great puncher, but not the biggest IMO.

I don't know if adding weight around his midsection would help his durability or ability to take head shots though the added weight would make it harder to push him back presumably.

The added weight wasn't just fat, it was also some muscle tissue, some of it around the neck, which improves one's ability to withstand getting hit.
And you are right about him being harder to push back.

Pretty sure the heaviest shots we saw Bowe take were against Lewis in the Olympics. Granted, he certainly didn't look hurt enough for a stoppage, but he was rocked. George hit harder, was a better finisher, and Bowe tended to get hit a lot.

I'll give Bowe the benefit of a doubt: no stoppage, but George by UD in 12. I'm being as fair as possible, because I have the sneaking suspicion Bowe would take some horrible punishment due to George's power, despite quite possibly winning the earliest rounds.

Maybe the fight should have been awarded to Moorer by the sounds of it or at the very least annulled from the likes of boxrec. Can't have guys that knocked the other guy completely outcold with a lucky punch thinking they got game.

At what? Certainly not at boxing, his defense was horrible even compared to Foreman.

George will be done for in five. He can't keep up with Bowe's workrate and on the inside where this fight is happening just how many short punches do you think Foreman threw in the 70s? He is gonna get smacked up side the head and sent home by Riddick.

45 years old George? I agree, but not 1970s Foreman.
