Is Caleb Plant the man to beat Canelo at 168?

Your basing this off your feelings. Plant is nice, but hasn't beaten anyone with a name to back your opinion up!

 

Styles make fights. Im basing my opinion off my knowledge of boxing and both fighters. Charlo moving up to face plant i doubt would hit much other then air and glove. Im sure plant and canelo will rematch but then i think benevidez or charlo can get it. I think charlo is the easier of the two fights so thatd probably be the next step.

 

its true. styles make fights. but there are levels within each style. to beat canelo, you need to be mayweather slick... whitaker slick. not plant slick. plant could beat munguia, who is the plant level version of canelos current style. not perfect examples but you get the idea.

Charlo is no canelo

 

there are no other canelos above 147. what other fighter do you think would have a legit chance to be undisputed in 3 divisions at once. politics would prevent it, but i can see him beating anyone from 160 to 175 next year. not saying he would, but i would be putting my money on him.

Ofcourse. Guy is the biggest money man in boxing and gets every advantage possible over any opponent. You literally have to knock him out to ensure victory.
Plant would outbox charlo with ease though.

 

yeah, but you still have to be good enough to take advantage of being the money man. plenty of ranked fighters have taken a crack at him, and all the complaints are about inches. the man went 24 hard rds with ggg at 160 not too long ago, if bivol or beterbiev cant ko him, theyre either useless, or canelo is a bad mother ****er.

 

With that being said, if plant outboxes canelo 7 to 5 he deserves the nod. You and i both know thats a canelo blowout on all 3 cards. I dont respect that. Never will.

 

Lol Canelo would have fun with Charlo

 

Canelo has such an infuriating set of traits and talents. You won't outlast him, he has a granite chin and a great defence so no sign of a stoppage. He can take you out very quickly- doesn't take careless shots and is a very compactly built guy that and he has the blessing of the judges.

 

Plant struggled with Truex. He's not beating Canelo.

 

He will get paycheck.
He will not KO Clenbuterol and with this all is told.
