Haney has no power, don't see him outboxing Garcia for 12 rounds or getting any respect. He gets stopped late or beaten up en route to a wide UD loss.

 

mikeys timing is too good and hits too hard for haney. his speed wont keep him safe and he doesnt seem to react well to eating hard shots.

Mikey has good timing and he's levels above Haney, he'll knock him out late.

I can see Haney outboxing him in the early rounds but I can't fathom that he'll be able to continue this for the entirety of the round beginning from the mid and that's when Mikey will get in his shots and finish Haney within 2-3 subsequent rounds.

 

He will stop him for sure.

I think Haymon/PBC must believe in Haney and be content feeding Mikey off. It is a big fight and they do both need it. I guess if Haney loses they can always bring up weight and keep his 135 WBA rankings while giving Mikey the credential he needs right now to get back in big mix discussion. Other way around, they launch Haney up with a legit big win he's lacking behind his peers in many fans' eyes and then Mikey can become a rebuild/feed off again in a year or two guy. Guess it makes sense... From the fight itself POV, maybe Haney can outbox Mikey at this point.

The issue for Mikey is he wants big money after two massive paydays. But he also currently wants a hard but winnable fight. Only certain fighters can get him those paydays. He’s gone from $1m for Easter to $7m for Spence and $7m for Vargas.

Hearn is happy to pay him that kind of money for a Haney type fight. Or 2-3m for a tune up then a big fight.
