If you really think Tua was a better combo puncher then Walcott I don’t think we will see eye to eye on anything. Tua had decent hand speed in spurts. But his foot speed was abysmal.
Why would his foot speed matter in this case? This fight will be a brawl. Tua isn't going to box and move against little Marciano. He is going to go in there to show what a world class 225lb powerpunching machine born from the furnace of the 90s would do to a 185 pound light heavyweight brawler from the 40s and 50s
I crack myself up sometimes. Here if you think Marciano batters Tua fine. I can see why, he was a great fighter. We'll agree to disagree
No the reverse is not the case when you have two fighters neither a defensive genius who will likely fight at the same range one is significantly smaller, weaker and cuts easy whilst not being able to take the same shot and has lesser power you need to favour the bigger, stronger, harder hitting, better chinned fighter. Which in this case is Tua. Also I love Moore and Waloctt but to the poster attempting to put them on the same level power wise as Tua is delusional. David was a clearly a limited fighter but his power was ridiculous.
Wrong on a few levels. Marciano was excellent defensively. Walcott and Moore stopped much better fighters then Tua ever did. The people I tend to think over exaggerate the importance of weight have probably spent little time in a boxing ring. Men who weigh 190 can hit just as hard or harder then men that weigh 250.
You're right. How delusional of me to think a fighter 40-50+ pounds heavier, stronger, faster, more powerful, more durable than Marciano would even stand a chance against him.
Rather foolish. First step is admitting it. Which you’ve done. 35 pounds heavier Faster of hand not foot Stronger is debatable. Everyone who fought Marciano spoke of his freakish strength. Never heard that of Tua. More durable? That’s like saying a Ferrari is faster then a Lambo. They’re both durable. Who is more doesn’t really matter fights not ending in a KO for either. Marcianos stamina is better but not so much where it’s worth noting as an advantage. Marciano was far and away the more skilled. Power in both hands not just the left. Far better defensively. Far better at feignts, countering, defensively, adjusting, fighting outside, inside, controlling the pace. He literally does everything better. Except hand speed.
Lord, what Wonderland rabbit hole are you digging in Is a 5'9.5" 225lb Samolian Oak stronger than a 5'10" 185 punds canneloni ? Is a fellow who never blinked against any SHW he ever fought (Ibeabuchi, Lewis etc.) a better chin than getting put on the ground by single taps from LHW-CWs Walcott and Moore? "When logic and proportion Have fallen sloppy dead, And the White Knight is talking backwards And the Red Queen's "off with her head!" Remember what the dormouse said: "Feed your head. Feed your head. Feed your head"" Whatever youre throwing gazelle, get outta there and find back to reality quickly!
Just look at his profile picture. Tua knocks Marciano's head back into the stands within the first 2 rounds.
Once again the low iq anti Marciano crowd out in force with zero knowledge of the sport or any explanation how their low iq process plays out. Thanks for the enlightening post from you and others. Your takes of “Tua is to big” was so enlightening.
