Mauricio Lara Acosta vs. Joshua Warrington II & Conor Benn vs. Adrián René Granados RBR.

Benn's got the physical attributes to get him out of a lot of holes and I was impressed with his stamina tonight.

There's still a question mark over his power, he loads up but they're arm shots.

Also he doesn't cut off the ring well, or fight well on the back foot. The inside game is also terrible.

 

Hometown decision. Benn stronger and faster. Granados more skillful.

 

I don't think he ever gets to World level.

I'm not knocking the lad, he's clearly a grafter who wants to make a career for himself.

But there are so many glaring deficiencies in his game and some of them are so basic it's untrue. As such I don't think 2 or even 5 years would be long enough to ingrain the necessary behaviours that would make him a true contender.

 

Tony Sims is a good trainer though, he will help Benn more and more

 

Benn is coming along a bit, like a crappy Jermell Charlo.

 

He quite skillfully avoided landing any meaningful punches. Hell, if he displayed any more 'skills' he would have craftily not thrown a punch at all, the dastardly villain!

 

Benn has found his ceiling.

And this is the best performance he can come up with despite travelling all around the world for sparring....

It just shows that his boxing IQ is quite limited and he is a tattooed show boater who loves posing and talking like a hard man than actually refining his skills

Even now I pick Khan over him. Pretty quickly too.

 

The Charlos are master boxers compared to this clown.

 

As expected Hearn is gonna milk this kid dry with past it, overrated boxers like Adrien Broner.

Conor Benn as raw and wild as he is just needs to let his hands go enough and he beats Broner easily.

I will never understand why the belts are different colours in women's boxing
