Mikey? Possibly could have been in the conversation if his career had followed a very different trajectory. Fury- he's got to defend a few times at least and beat AJ
Anyone putting fury in instead of Usyk is an idiot. Never mind Usyk in fact there’s plenty of others as well.
Obviously Canelo, Usyk and Inoue. Golovkin probably. It's hard after that but I'd probably SAY roman Gonzalez.
To be honest man, naming 5 at this point is a bit of a long shot. I just threw a couple of names out there.
And if Usyk gets knocked out by Joshua? Hell be known as an ATG cw, but to be an ATG in history, what he does now in the HW division will determine where he ranks. He could end up just being a HOFamer which isnt half bad in itself.
chocolatito and estrada. Inoue too, probably, he's only 28, if he continues like that. I would like to add that in the far future they will be probably considered atg only by boxing freaks. Not by normies-casuals. Their name will be lost for normies-casuals. That's the toll that we have to pay for fighting in the small weights .
Fairly early days, but Josh Taylor has one of the highest potential to assume ATG status with his age and how fast he's achieved what he has. Inoue is on the right track, too. Canelo will probably be appreciated more after he retires, assuming he doesn't hit a sudden decline. Usyk is already an ATG cruiser, if he beats Joshua that'll really cement his legacy as an ATG fullstop. Let's be honest, though, having more than one of two potential ATG fighters (a very high bar in my book) in the same era suggests the sport is healthier than ever.
