........................... Fury was clearly able to continue fighting, and the count starts when the ref begins counting from 1-10.
This content is protected He got up right at 10. Could it be counted as a KO? YEA it could be, but it wasnt.
I never thought the LDBC would surpass the Canelo super fans as the most despicable fans in boxing. We just need Wilder to fail a drug test like his brother and use the tainted beef theory.
Imagine that gets waved off, Wilder gets a KO victory, goes on to knock out a few voluntary and mandatory fighters and is the undefeated champion today with a ko win over Fury? Its always interesting how split second decisions by refs can change the course of boxing history.
Provided that happened he likely would have fought Fury again if Fury wanted a rematch because Wilder would be confident that he'd beat Fury again like he was in real life and then that can goes 2 or 3 ways. maybe Fury sticks with his gameplan to outbox and beats Wilder that way or gets KO'd again, or he trains under Javon and beats Wilder that way in this scenario like he did in real life.
Urgh, that video is painful. You'd think he'd at least have a glance at the rules. The only fighter robbed in that ring was Fury. The two knock downs of course warranted a rematch, but in no way justifies rigging the cards for a Draw. We would have still gotten a rematch if Wilder had taken the deserved L.
This is so true Kirk. Had the ref been Richard Steele, Wilder would still be the heavyweight champion of the world!
This. And even more importantly, Fury won the remainder of the round after he got up. Wilder got a gift with that draw.
I love to see the Wilderettes still stuck on this BS. You want an example of a fighter getting a long break to save them from getting KTFO? See Wilder / Ortiz 1 where Wilder was ready to get tucked into bed by Grandpa.
