    Errrr.

Joyce could beat Parker, but I wouldn't go so far as to suggest it'd be easy or that it's a done deal before the fight even starts.

If Takam didn't have a gas tank that'd make Butterbean blush he might've beaten Joyce...

Parker may be patchy, but he'd also be easily the best win on Joyce's resume if Joyce managed to beat him.

If AJ couldn't knock Parker out what makes you think Joyce can? And I don't think Joyce is fast enough on his feet to win on points if Parker just decides to stick and move all night.

Dubois isn't proven in terms of beating quality opponents but if that's your benchmark for assessing a fighter's quality then you are going to have severe blindspots. Dubois is rated very highly by the likes of Fury, AJ, Okolie etc. who have sparred him extensively, many of whom favoured him over Joyce: a de-facto Olympic champion with much higher level pro wins. He is rated very highly by the oddsmakers, who have been in the predictions business for a long time and have greater access to relevant information concerning fights than practically any poster on this forum. And he disposed of journeymen like Cojanu and Dinu more brutally and with far less trouble than the likes of Parker, Ajagba, Miller and Pulev. Then consider that he's only 24, still immature and inexperienced as is improving every fight.

So I'd argue that Joyce's win against Dubois, who clearly has vastly more punching power and killer instinct than Parker, is better than any of Parker's wins, especially considering that both of Parker's best wins (Chisora, Ruiz) were highly controversial. Joyce's win over Jennings is a Chisora-tier win; compare their wins and their losses and there isn't much between them (aside from the fact that Chisora has lost almost 3x as many fights) then consider that the Chisora that Parker "beat" was several years older than the Jennings that Joyce beat. Joyce's strategy against Takam was not centred around outpointing Takam but pressuring, wearing him out and stopping him and Joyce knew he had the chin to take Takam's power, which is why he got hit so much.

Parker has exactly one significant advantage over Joyce: faster hands, he is inferior in every other respect. Hopefully this fight gets made because it has Joyce UD written all over it.

Given what he looked like up and coming, Parker has been underwhelming. At this point I see him as an opponent with a name. A stepping stone.

Parker has no accuracy as he has stepped up the levels. If Joyce is content to jab his head off for 12 rounds then I reckon he can cruise to a decision win.

Parker comes off to me as a guy who doesn’t like boxing but goes through the motions because he has some innate talent and it’s the only thing he can do to make decent money.
