Hope he gets the high profile his achievements and talent warrants. P4P number 1 in the Uk. Top 10 P4P in the world. He should be massive. I recall Froch not having the profile he deserved until he moved to sky. Hopefully this is a similar story.
I don't think he quite has the personality. Joshua doesn't either, but has the looks to make up for it. You need one or the other - ideally both.
Can't see him ever being a huge money earner/ppvstar over here and will probably have to go back to the states for any superfights but I am glad sky have picked his fights up when they are here.best we have had since zaggers.
Great boxer and I enjoy his fights (been to two of them) but from what I’ve seen on social media I just can’t take to him at all.
Josh Taylor unfortunately will never become mainstream. Bottom line is that as great a boxer he is he lacks that star quality in the eyes of casual fans and is in a division that doesn’t generate much attention beyond genuine boxing fans. He is also far too spiteful to become the face of a platform.
Criminally underrated, deserves to be one of the biggest names in British sport and hopefully will be within a few fights time. I don’t get the hate for him personally. He doesn’t come across to me as a bully like someone like BJS or Broner, just seems to be highly strung (particularly around fight time when making weight etc.) and maybe (understandably) a bit bitter about not getting enough credit for his achievements so far. Genuine question as I may be missing something, what’s he done to deserve the hate? It feels very 2021 that people are essentially marking him down for not being a life-and-soul of the party happy-chappy personality. Were the likes of Marvin Hagler, Sonny Liston, Mike Tyson (et al) a barrel of laughs?
