His personality is below zero, he will never be a PPV hit, I doubt people would travel 5 miles to watch the bum.
In terms of figureheads, BT have Fury and Joyce. Sky have Taylor and, for now, Joshua. DAZN have Whyte, for now, Benn, and Katie Taylor. Josh is a perfect pick for the hardcore fan, and for me a good sign that Sky are serious about boxing. I agree with everyone who says he isn't the most marketable - but frankly I don't care. He's undisputed champion, and deserves to be the figurehead of a major network in his home country.
He's the best super lightweight in the world who is also an undisputed champion. If that isn't good enough to market him then you need to hire competent people. Proper boxing fans will be very happy with this move by Sky.
Taylor - hardcore fans AJ - casuals drawn in by the glitz, glamour & marketing Fury - football crowd Most of my mates, football fans with no real interest in boxing, prefer Fury over AJ.
Hes not that bad, he can be a bit of a nark but hes a ****ing fighter. I like him, and more importantly i like how he has gone about his boxing business, old school no fear. Seems to be mad standards abar certain fighters for a lot of people e.g. Taylor being a vile human just for calling a bouncer an orange **** on a night out or being spiky in build up to fights, or Fowlers the biggest **** since fred west cos he sells a bit of CBD and is a bit of a cringe at times on insta. But then people will worship the ground say mike tyson walks on despite his questionable behaviour throughout much of his life. Load of ****. Hope he does well he deserves it
He won't be much of a face if he's fighting a 4am. He needs a run of fights at prime time which top rank don't seem to want. If he didn't have this mandatory would Bob have him defend in the states to one his us prospects trying to get him beat again.
Are you a woman? I remember seeing a poll between Klitschko and Joshua on Reddit, the consensus was "meh".
The amount of women that attend AJ fights is evidence enough. Anyway this is good for Taylor and hopefully he can get some endorsement deals as well.
