I always base on clear and clean punches landed, can't score shots for hitting arms etc.

Thought Eggington landes the more cleaner shots throughout the fight.

That's the way I saw it. I think Jkitou's corner failed him not advising about that rear uppercut that landed every time.

"I thought split was a bit harsh" says Eggington.

As in, he thinks he deserved a wide UD.

Yeoman's work by Mick Hennessy over the years, putting on these consistently solid (if not star-studded) cards over the years. He was never exactly competition for Fast Car Eddie or pater Barry before him, nor for Warren, or even the other Frank (now Kellie, Maloney), but by jove he's a pillar of British boxing nonetheless.

Sort of equivalent to Lou DiBella here stateside, I'd say. (always second fiddle to Don King and Top Rank and later Golden Boy and PBC, but fills a niche quite nicely)

Channel 5 need to give him and the fighters a bonus for how it was tonight. It's not something that would grab the casuals attention unless shown to them but it was a hell of a scrap.

Yes. Eggingiton stayed on the ropes and stood toe to toe and traded far too much which made for an exciting fight but also a much more punishing one that it needed to be for him.

I agree, he looked to be able to outbox Jkitou but he loves a scrap and it's great for the spectators but for him not the smartest fight. Still I can't think of one rear uppercut that missed the whole fight, was insane to see.

To me neither look good at middle. You know, a Darren Barker would beat both.

That because eggington has no footwork at all he never has. A pure boxer would make eggington look terrible.
