boxing has been like this for a while, boxing peaked my interest since 2013. I prefer the classical forum over general. Modern boxers are business guys, they pad their records with cans ,hike up their shorts to their chest, and dont even fight anymore, they play patty cake.

I gave up almost completely last year. I didn’t even know Haye fought last night lol. It was slow progression but now that all these freak shows are taking over I’m out too. I’ll always enjoying watching a good fight but I’ve pretty much lost all interest now

Have the same feeling but this also drives me to watch smaller events with up-and-comer, lesser know fighters. Not that I didn’t watch before but watching even more now. There are still a lot of high profile fights I’d like to watch but until something big happens or these fights actually get made, I’m not complaining. Lots of great young, exciting fighters out there…

It's god awful. Don't blame ya. Whole sport needs a restructure, promoters/sanctioning bodies are ruining it for the fans. When the fans go, the sport goes with it.

The level of stupidity coming from you with that post is ridiculous. You know...there is a difference between watching boxing AND discussing something in an Internet forum, right? Don't waste my time little boy with your stupidity and pls never quote me again.

I've just got to disagree with people blaming Canelo and Mayweather.

Yes, those guys so have everything stacked in their favour, but they are/were at the very pinnacle of the game. In motor racing, the best driver gets the best car, in football, the best players play in the best team.

Both of those guys 100% earned the right to get to the position they got themselves in, through years of dedication inside and outside the ring, and have been clever enough to exploit it once they got to the top.

The issue is when unproven fighters, backed by powerful promoters, just set out to navigate their career into a nearly marketable box to appeal to their demographic.

No matter what you think the issue is with boxing right now, 100% Canelo isn't the problem

The Wuhan Virus also screwed up Boxing. A lot of supposed to be good fights got cancelled like Inoue-Casimero, etc...
