Sold Out ages ago didn't it so no real hype required to sell tickets although I concede they still require some hype and build up for the PPV angle. Secondly, is Usyk in the UK or is he training his final preparations elsewhere as I type? Personally, it is better when both boxers are in the same room for the build up.
AJ won't get credit if he beats him. He should have gone after Wallin. We all know he's the real boogeyman of the division.
I think there's been some spots run but unsure on that. BT have started pushing Fury v Wilder I know because I saw their advert over the weekend. There's a link on their homepage: https://www.skysports.com/boxing/ne...ight-title-fight-at-tottenham-hotspur-stadium but it's 'below the fold' and they're not giving it the big push. That will change markedly I guess as we get closer to the fight. I'd guess a lot of their sales are driven in the last few days. On the day of the fight it looks like they have Chelsea vs City and Brentford v Liverpool showing. My guess is they hammer those big audiences with the push and they'll do well from it. It's a good revenue source for them so they will want to maximise it, but perhaps they're not committing as much marketing resource to this one as they would've done if the Matchroom link was still in place? Be interesting to see the figures on this one.
Hearn won't push it as it takes away the focus from DAZN. If he bigs up a Sky card people would be less inclined to subscribe to DAZN as they'll just see good fights still being made on Sky.
There is hype around it, well down here it is .Tickets are all sold out. So many people on here thought Usyk was going to run the heavyweight division yet since he fought Chisora they have all piped down. Will be a good fight for sure. Joshua KO's him inside 10.
I'm hoping for an AJ win but I think Usyk will win it. Really looking forward to this, the HW with the best resume vs the most talented guy in the divison.
A lot of folk on here appear more concerned with the P&L of a multi billion pound media corporation, than whether a boxing fight was any good. I call it "the hearns effect".
im convinced uysk wins cant understand people saying aj routes him yes a good big un beats a good little un but aj is relatively basic and usyk is a chess master
