Tarver had an easy night with him.

I love how you’re not reviewing the fights that Tarver and Toney had with Griffin and Jones.

    Don't be ridiculous.
I love how you're so insecure about this that accusing me of this. All I did was point out Tarver's fight with Reggie was no walk in the park, and Tarver's style had some very similar weaknesses to Toney's. Furthermore, Toney was both in worse condition for those fights than Tarver was for his fights with those two - his own fault, of course - and Toney fought much better versions of them. Toney fought them eight and nine years earlier. Of course he had harder fights with them.

Even still, I pick Tarver over LHW Toney, quite comprehensively. Toney's entire career was far more impressive though, under any standard.

Tarver is the same age as Toney.

So easy that he got a split decision over Johnson.
    Must have dominated Johnson.
Johnson was probably in his prime too right?

Bull****. Toney won FIghter of The Year during Tarver’s non-am prime.

And that makes him prime, does it?

So did James Toney's prime last from 1991 to 2003?

No. He was green in 91.

His prime seemed to come and go on a fight by fight basis depending on if he looked spectacular or sluggish.

So his best year as a pro happened when was green? A year where he literally scored three or four of his five best wins.

Riiiight... you'll have to do better than that. It's painfully obvious that Toney was better in the Nunn and McCallum fights than he was in 2003.

Right because fighters primes come and go like the seasons.
So one fight they are in thier prime and the very next fight they aren't.
Go learn about boxing before you post.
