He's certainly a boxing monument isn't he. Completely and utterly one of a kind in so very many ways.
Oh absolutely. I love that his career path had so many highs and lows and he managed to pull out a great win in his twighlight years.
Well if you believed the majority he pulled off two great wins in his twilight years as he was considered shot for Moore. But yes Barkley was in his really! twilight years!!! lol
Well Leonard of course, but had many wins close to it Cuevas, Buchanon , Palomino, Dejesus, Moore etc.
I like the palamino victory. A very impressive performance. Carlos was a very good fighter but was overmatched in all departments.
Leonard easy peasy. He beat a close to prime atg that was clearly bigger than he was. He had some other legendary wins but that was no 1 for him.
His best win has to be Leonard, although there is no way that Ray was prime when Duran fought him in 1980, but that win was his best win since no one else beat Ray near what would have been his prime which was closer to the Hearns fight than Duran in 1980.. Ray's prime would have been more like 1983 had he kept on fighting. His biggest fight closest to his possible prime had to be Hearns in Sept 1981 when experience and skill level were at his highest.
