Why? Tank's career has been defined by avoiding the best, whereas Taylor's has bee defined by actively seeking it out.
Certainly wouldn't grudge the payday for Taylor personally but he would get no credit for beating the old-man.
lol he is still young, he is only 26 years old and already a 3 division world champ. He is not like Crawford who is already 34. A fight with Tank is going to bring more money than a fight with Taylor specially that floyd is in his corner, and at this point pac should be all about the money if he still wishes to fight. With his resume, I feel he is gonna demand the big fights sooner or later from floyd and his team, Floyd knows this, he knows that Tank is at this point where he is going to be tested. LSC and barrios were good measuring sticks
No more Pac stories unless it’s about his permanent retirement. Enough already. I’m afraid his poor performer may embolde Floyd to fight him again. Manny is shot to bits so he fits the profile. I’m done with old guys fighting. Let the younger guys scramble their brains. The older guys are already well scrambled.
Tank won his first title almost three years before Taylor won his. And he's got not one win on his résumé half as good as a win over Postol, which isn't even Taylor's second best win. Don't delude yourself into thinking Tank is a three weight world champion. The WBA Regular doesn't count. How can Tank be the WBA champion, when Josh Taylor is undisputed? How can he be champion, when Teofimo has all the belts? He ducked Lomachenko across three weights and four years, what makes you think he's begging for big fights? His complete and utter lack of them? The last ten years of Floyd's career was hardly facing young killers fight in, fight out. LSC and Barrios were handpicked because they're made for Davis. And beating an impossibly out-sized Cruz, and the legendary Mario Barrios, does not make for a good resume. Pedraza is Tank's best win, which happened 4½ years ago.
No chance of that. Sugar Logan sent him into permanent retirement. A few posters are assuming Twink would even want to fight the old man. Even the ghost of Pac is too risky for him.
The guy you were arguing with, his username translates into "wise about boxing". I was saying the guy he was hombre-splaining to proved to be more so.
how is it passing the torch if he already lost his last match? You think JCC passed the torch to Grover Wiley?
