Mayweather is just a completely different level to Alvarez.

He is simply the greatest boxer I've ever seen. A boxing genius. Every trait that any boxer could ever aspire to. He makes a mockery of his opponents.

I don't think anybody predicted it would be that one sided. Canelo always had good fundamentals. I saw his talent when he was fighting at 19. I'm not surprised at all how well Canelo is doing now. But, on that night Floyd showed why he's one of the best ever to step in the ring. It will be a while before we see a dominant fight like that between elite fighters.

I remember Canelo's team saying he was knocking everyone out in training. He ran out of sparring partners.

    It's a pointless fight, IMHO.

People love to rave about what this did for Floyd's legacy, but Canelo couldn't weigh in at more than 152. He was as flat as a pancake.

So with all the odds in Floyd's favour, he still didn't stop him (and he could have easily done so in the 7th).

It's a poor victory, and one that is on par with Floyd's win over JJM in terms of how stacked the deck was in Floyd's favour.

Hatton, Corrales, Gatti, N'dou, Cotto. All better wins and performances.

So, you honestly believe Canelo taught Mayweather how to fight off the ropes and defense? Really?

I never gave Canelo a shot. A lot of people I watched it with really thought Canelo was going to win and that this was the end for Floyd. They didn't know anything about Canelo having to boil down to 152 (how absurd does this sound now), or that Canelo had a history of gassing in 12 rounders and was facing possibly the best conditioned boxer in history.

He's clearly playing around. He's trolling because thats what @shadow111 claims happened during this fight. Shadow legit said Canelo taught Floyd how to fight off the ropes. It's ridiculous

"111" in Shadows name is a number of excuses for Canelo.

It was cool. Had my uncle, cousin, neighbor and his wife and some other people.

Ordered pork sisig (popular Filipino cuisine)

made hamburgers using George Foreman grill ( took forever)

nothing but awe at how Mayweather made Canelo miss most of his shots..

It was a razor close fight, no doubt canelo was weight drained to 152 pounds. If they rematched 2 years later canelo would have flattened floyd.
