Went to Froch v Groves 2 at Wembley and it was a cracking card except the Joshua v Dr Legg from Eastenders mismatch. The few see through Eh Day but many simply believe every single word.
Exactly. I've been to New York for a Matchroom card so I'm certainly not a Matchroom hater or Fury fanboy (actually can't stand Fury as a person) as some like to say. If there's a good card or good trip to be had then I genuinely couldn't care less who promotes it.
Not quite to the same extent I don’t think. People will always have preferences but sometimes it seems like an agenda.
Not biased toward Matchroom. I Regularly mention fighters non match room I'm full praised for. I just don't agree with the common agenda of **** on anything matchroom. I genuinely agree with the majority of the common posters regarding opinions on boxers (e.g. I agree a lot with Jurgen regarding past British fighters such as Calzgahe and Nigel Benn). I do however go against of the anti match room brigade on how highly they rate or don't rate certain HWs. They typically refer to Ortiz as bogeyman and a top HW despite not having the resume to match this. They view Wilder as a top 5 hw despite not having the resume to match this. They rate Whyte as Euro level at best or a "Pudding" whilst I think Whyte has one of the top resumes in the divison. I've stated I'm unconvinced that Fury is anywhere near the level he was before his retirement on what he has shown and hasn't beaten a quality HW since Wlad. If Fury beats one of HWs with one of better resumes then I would admit I called it wrong. As for AJ biased I've stated I would be rooting for Joyce to beat him (but I don't think he would) whilst I want AJ to beat Usyk but I think Usyk wins.
re: Ortiz, I've seen you state numerous times he's no good but include Rivas in Whyte's great resume. They both have the same opponent as their best win in Jennings. Doesn't make any sense.
You say Fury hasn't fought anyone post-comeback better than Whyte's last 5 opponents, hence implying Rivas and Wach are better than Wilder and as a result Ortiz on the basis Wilder KO'd Ortiz twice. No matter how much you hate Fury/Wilder, Rivas and Wach are not better than Wilder and Ortiz
Rivas is o par with Ortiz. Both have the same notable win and neither should considered top 10 for beating Jennings alone. Since Fury has beaten Wlad Whyte has beaten Parker and Povetkin who have better resumes than Wilder and you could even debate Chisora (who certainly better than anyone apart from Wilder that Fury has I belivee I give a balanced opinion. Beating Rivas and Ortiz are solid wins, but they are solid wins against two guys who I believe are not 10 fighters and wins over them alone do not instantly make a Victor a top 10 fighter. When you consider Ortiz and Rivas are in the top 10 HW ring magazines ratings for beating Jennings alone. This is wrong in my opinion, especially when you consider the context that Jennings only got rated in the top 10 through a controversial point deduction against Perez (the judges would have ruled it a draw on their cards if not) and at the time Takam got a draw against Perez however many people where of the opinion that Takam deserved to win.
Ok, let's dissect this... Tyson deserves all the credit for taking on Wilder, but he's done so because he's blatantly seen a weakness. And he exposed it, so fair play. But people are so quick to forget Wallin, Seferi, etc. Why does he get a pass when AJ doesn't, yet AJ fights the top challengers? You seem intelligent. So why wouldn't AJ be on ppv? He's a stadium filler. A very rare thing in Boxing. Every single avenue which can earn him money will be utilised, hence why he's ppv material. He's the biggest draw in the game with Canelo. Only right he's on ppv. Fury fans have struggled to see this for some reason. If Tyson could fill out Wembley he'd never travel abroad, but he HAS to. End of. He's not like Froch, he's a man who has to travel abroad and dress up as a superhero. Just now AJ has tried to fight Fury, but legalities got in the way. It's not like he's not trying. So who does he fight? The next best challenger, as always. Taking Wilder out of the equation, Tyson, in the modern era, has fought unknowns and struggled with them. This is a fact with the Wallin fight. His best win from this generation is Wilder. That's it. And if AJ beats him it's a cSe of he's shot/Tyson got him first. But you give Tyson Usyk, Parker, Whyte and Povetkon and you'd probably call him the GOAT. Technically most fights against a champ ate evens because the challenger is worthy, pretty simple. Usyk is as deserving as anyone. And he's a live threat. We all know from Tysons form that if beats Wilder he will retire, fall to pieces or rematch Chisora. And no, you DO have a gripe with Matchroom. Your post history is littered with insult towards Eddie & AJ, whilst it's full of praise for Tyson. How you don't class yourself as a Fury fanboy I will never know...
How can Rivas be better than Wilder (as you've said many times) but on a par with Ortiz when Wilder has KO'd Ortiz twice? Think about it ffs.
Thats the thing about Fury, ok AJs resume is overhyped 100% but he has still fought those ranked guys. If they are the easy fights that they are meant to be then why hasnt Fury just beaten those guys also? I get the point of view 100%. Lets be honest though Fury has the biggest wins whilst AJ has the deeper CV on paper.
Why does Conor McGregor fight in America when he could sell out stadiums in Ireland? Same with Canelo and Mexico? Because America is where the money & stardom is. AJ tried getting a part of it too with the Miller/Ruiz fight.
