    It is referenced in passing he was charged with the fitness of inmates in prison however It got me thinking did Papa Jack pass his skills to another?

    Well- What was the extent of the training? as in the time Johnson invested In Godfrey. this is news to me.

    Aye, they used to call him Wrench Johnson. Which I think is pretty clever. Because of his inventing the wrench. Because of how that changed the humanity.

    Didn't he train one of Joe Louis' opponents because Louis had disrespected him?

    Johnson trained a ton of fighters. Just to name a few he trained Abe Simon for the first Louis fight. He trained Al Gainer, who was an excellent light heavyweight. He also trained Panama Roy Brooks, who was a very good lightweight and later trainer of Tiger Ted Lowry.

    He didn't invent the wrench that was done in the 1840s he just patented a TYPE of wrench.
