Good fight IMO Browne has probably been underrated since losing to Pascal he might be getting Beterbiev at the right time.
Same here. I've always rated Browne as a fighter, he is very talented, his only problems have been outside the ring drama (various domestic abuse charges) and a rather shaky chin. Beterbiev should be the favorite, but if Browne is in shape he could beat Artur.
Good fight, Beterbiev needs to stay active and fight at least 3 times per year. Browne is solid fighter, but he was down too many times in the past. Could he candle Beterbievs power ? I don't think so.
Browne won't see the 3rd round, his career may literally be ended in this fight. The beating will be that frightful, because Browne is that fragile.
Because they want to push Joe Smith as their guy and push Beterbiev out. Apparnetly the guy who they have not even bothered to even market has no fan base..... .....totally ignoring the entire Caucus region and the fact there was a completely packed arena in Moscow to paid top money to see him in March.
He does and is well known amongst boxing fans but Top Rank have made virtually zero effort to push him or market him. Top Rank want to push Joe Smith Jr and Bob Arum has gone on record that he thinks Smith beats Beterbiev. Remember how Crawford fell our of favour with Arum too? At 36 years old, Beterbiev has even less time. Such a shame really, this was guy Kovalev x2 with a fan friendly slugging style.
They're outdated and hopefully a thing of the past. I personally hope networks take over and have elimination style tournaments
I suspect that these Gvozdyk and Beterbiev when they were in prime had get low PR work for them for a reason. They are not from US, U.K or at least Germany or Mexico. Origin looks that matters a lot. They also were too dangerous for opponents and therefore this narrative: he fought no one ( ofc perspective future cash cows didn't rushed to fight vs them on normal terms ). Now Bet is 36 and looked rusty, ppl might start to talk like this today is 28-34 y.o Beterbiev. Common PR thing. Gvozdyk is retired. What a luck. Both: Bet and Gvozdyk were damn watchable.
Yup....Top Rank missed a mega chance. These Eastern Europeans have big fan bases but you need to create them and nurture them too. Look how popular Kovalev used to be and how popular Khabib still is even today.... A promoter's NUMBER ONE job is to promote and market and Top Rank have failed spectacularly.
