Good luck to him If he's only half as good as his Dad he'll do OK

 

I wish him good luck, hopefully he can carry the pressure on his back and speed off with it

 

He is 20 years old. Has no amateur career, he spends most of his time on social media.

Now he wants to fight a YouTuber. Kid should find something else to do.

 

Doubt he has in him what his dad did. Already starting too late.

Not starving on the streets training since he was kid. Fighting equally desperate young men and rose to be the creme of that crop then a world crop.

Although it's the drive in the individual that matters. Nothing else.

 

Has any son ever come behind an elite father and ever exhibited anywhere near a quarter of the talent?

Why doesn't he box as an amateur for the first two years or so? Even his father fought as an amateur.

 

Floyd sr. wasn't elite. He could have been. I'd say I agree if he would've peaked at Uncle Roger's level

 

Agree 100%. When a guy has the hunger they can be all wrong for boxing and still be a champion, like Marciano.

When a fighter loses that spark, forget it.

If they never had the spark and want to "try" getting punched in the face, it's useless.

Hope for this kid's sake he's not going to be another cheeseburger junior.

 

I will be surprised if he ever gets to JCC Jr's level.

At least Jr. has a chin. I don't know if this guy has taken a flush punch in his life.

 

He's setting himself up for "performance" fighting like the Pauls, who like it or not are trailblazers. I don't mind it because these guys don't interfere with real fights, and some of these bouts have been entertaining. Best wishes to junior and hopefully he'll talk to uncle Bobby when it's time to quit.
