He's been fighting in a division of tiny men. He's not beaten a single great fighter. Donaire would have been a great win 8 years ago when Rigo schooled him with a lot more ease than Inoue. Inoue is great but he's far from perfect. I have him top 5 p4p but he has a resume which is worse than Crawford's
Thing is we don't know how they'd operate at different weights. It would be a lot harder for Lomachenko to physically do all that matrix stuff at 168 even provided he was a natural middleweight. Would Canelo be the same speed or would he be significantly faster than he already is at lower weights say if he were a natural lightweight or bantamweight ? He certainly wouldn't be as destructive as Inoue though Just a lot of factors
Inoue competes where he competes. Lomachenko doesn't have an ATG on his resume. Inoue has been flat out more dominant than either man.
That's just it. Imagining they have the same body removes who they are and what makes them special. Loma isn't going to look like himself if he was 160. Same at Canelo weighing in at bantam. This is an example of something that just 'sounds good' in theory. But not in application. At that point it's just popularity determining wins.
GRJ, Rigo, Linares and Walters are much better wins than anyone on Inoue's resume. In my personal opinion Loma is more skilled, he lands the most while getting hit the least.
Except it doesn't carry in scale. Think a 6'8" Finito Lopez fights like his normal size would have with his old attributes?
If thats the case Lomachenko beats Inoue, Inoue probably beats Canelo, Canelo beats Lomachenko. I don't think anyone dominates the lot of them
GRJ has beaten no one of note. Walters beat Donaire on size, but otherwise did nothing in boxing. Rigo's only good win was Donaire while looking like ass against mediocre competition. Linares is a good fighter, but again, hasn't really beaten anyone special. Inoue obliterated Narvaez (whom a prime rampaging Nonito couldn't put in a dent in), destroyed Adrien Gonzalez (the man of the division at the time), and he smoked 4 world class opponents in under a combined 4 rounds.
Come on brother... Narvaez was a 39 year old man in a division where fighters start declining at 30 years old. Adrian Hernandez lost 2 out of the next 3 fights after the Inoue defeat. The 4 world class opponents he smoked in 4 rounds weren't world class, he hasn't got a single impressive win on his record. There is such a shortage of talent in 118 and under. I'd evern wager Jason Sosa and Roman Martinez are better wins than anyone on Inoue's record bar 1 or 2 wins. The fashion in which he wins is very impressive indeed but his opponents aren't.
We're talking same size not one being way naturally bigger, right? Loma toys with Clenelo and his big melon PED head. Clenelo either loses, loses but his judges bail him out, or struggles badly everytime he faces someone with genuine speed/and or slickness who is above C + in terms of athletic talent. Great fighter but he excels against plodders not top class athletes with genuine speed. Inoue is fantastic but Loma is a very special talent indeed, the most skilled fighter in the game, and Inoue has never seen anything like him before and he sure as hell ain't beating him.
I think the OP is not considering weight. H2H kinda You don't think Inoue's combination of speed and power wouldn't keep Loma's hands holstered? This is a very tough pick for me.
At first I thought you were proposing all three getting in the ring and fighting each other no holds barred, like those crazy wrestling matches. Except to the death. Could be interesting because once Canelo focuses on one of the little guys, the other could attack from behind. In a fight to the death, at least there are no judges. Maybe God but he’s not going to get involved in this. I bet Florida would sanction it.
