The variety of blueberry he preferred is now extinct. Does that answer your question?

I hear that they do still exist but the remaining ones are in the possession of just one person and he won't share them with anyone else.

I can't think of anyone who wouldn't LOVE to watch Henry Fonda pick blueberries.

There is no film of Harry Greb consuming blueberries so it’s left to conjecture … just like everything else about Greb.

    I personally refuse to rank a fighter I haven't
seen eat blueberries with my own eyes.

Oh, and I suppose grainy stills of Greb eating an unknown food a hundred feet from the cameramen isn't enough for you either, huh?

What about the testimony of Bert Sugar, totally reliable boxing historian? He came from the days when men were men and blueberries were blueberries.

IS NOTHING ENOUGH FOR THIS YOUNGER GENERATION?!

My biggest problem with it is that the film speed is often accelerated, making it look like they're rushing through their meal.

You clearly haven’t read Nat Fleischer’s expose of Greb’s eating habits, which appeared in the January, 1923, edition of The Ring, where he uncovered evidence that Harry was actually consuming blackberries while claiming they were blueberries. He even found the remains of a strawberry that Greb tried to scoot under his napkin.

A month later, armed with the knowledge, Gene Tunney exploited this edge and handed Harry a thrashing over 15 rounds.

Dude. Blackberries were banned back then. There's no way an honorable old time fighter like Greb would stoop to ingesting something illegal to gain an advantage in the ring. He wouldn't touch a blackberry. Greb always preferred to win the old fashioned, honest way, with hard work and eye gouges.

You conveniently overlook that time he tested positive for boysenberries.

Yeah, yeah … tainted fruit cup my ass.
