Ward takes it imo, GGG might trouble him with his powerful jab but unlike Kovalev his footwork and headlocks aren't as good to neutralize Ward's inside game. A close but clear 7-5 in favor of Ward.
GGG never wanted to go to 168 He was happy to call out little Floyd, but was in ro rush to fight Ward He would rather fight binmen at 160 than move up I actually like GGG the fighter. He was an animal, but he would be schooled by Ward and lose a clear decision
Great missed opportunity this fight..I'd favour ward but it'd have been a good fight for both n displayed their skills...think gggs jab would keep it close Easy to say such n such didn't make it happen blah blah but truth is the fault lies with both
Golovkin. Ward didn't know what to do with Kovalev's jab and Golovkins is arguably better. AW's potshotting tactics will be difficult against a guy that can reset him like Golovkin can. Ward likes to clinch and wrestle to tire guys out - Golovkin literally wrestled for 7 years as a teen. Ward has a so-so chin and Golovkin will drop the hammer sooner or later.
Did you even watch the fights? Absolutely not. Nonsense. Golovkin said he would be willing to make 154 for FMJ. Why was Ward willing to make 160 for Mayweather but not GGG? Binmen like Alvarez. You don't.
Think this would be close as both are Elite, but i'd probably lean 55/45 in favour of Ward - depending on where and refs etc. I think Gennady would have some success in the fight and it's possible that Ward might taste the canvas at some point - but I think he would spoil / roughhouse / butt and do whatever it took to disrupt any rythym GGG tried to establish. Looking back at the Sergiy Derevyanchenko fight, GGG (although rumoured to be ill) struggled with the bodywork/infighting of Dev in places and that plays to Ward's strengths I'm not sure it would be a great fight to watch, and if Ward got away with his usual dirty stuff, then I'd go Ward. IF the ref warned Ward for clinching/low-blows and butts and he maybe even got a point deduction, then I'd probably favour GGG to nick it based on cleaner work.
No stylistic poison here, Ward is not a combination puncher who can keep on pressuring like Derevyanchenko. I feel Ward takes it but it won't be easy at all.
Not relevant here. Kovalev's stamina and weak body were the real problem, and he won the first fight despite it all.
This content is protected ^ Refresh your memory. Ward has problems with Kovalev's jab. Kovalev's is longer. Golovkin's has better timing and is sharper. This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected [/QUOTE]
Ward had problems but he adapted. Won around 5 rounds in my opinion. He did well in the second half. In the second fight Ward hurt Kovalev's body. Ward coped well with the jab although he did not neutralize it. Longer and more powerful. Timing is something we cannot judge. Ward also has a great jab, longer than Golovkin but less powerful than Kovalev. In case you forgot: This content is protected
Ward via ud he would spoil and pinch rounds in a horrible fight to watch and golovkin cut similar to kessler
Binmen are you, exactly. Ward had opportunity to fight vs prime Beterbiev instead to fight vs him he had retired. You call ppl as binmens because YOU ARE LEVELS BELOW BINMEN. No one needs you even to collect ther bins, my EXPERT in the INTERNET.
