Don't play dumb like that's all he was doing. He shook his head one time in Round 5 after GGG finally landed a shot with him on the ropes to show yeah it landed but it didn't affect him. Canelo was landing the better and heavier shots. GGG outworked him in spurts with mostly jabs, but it was largely ineffective and GGG's work by in large wasn't better than the clean shots Canelo was landing.

In first fight Canelo outlanded GGG on power punches in 7 of 12 rounds. . His connect % was higher @ 41% > 32% He made GGG miss 500 punches . 218 landed 703 thrown. Golovkin's offence was shut down. But Canalo gave away rounds 4-9 and got out worked when his own offence died down. . Ward can work for 3mins of every round. His endurance was exceptional. GGG would have took a drubbing from Ward. Thats why he chose to fight Dom Wade instead
