I'd agree and disagree to an extent - Kov did fail the test in the 2nd fight, but not in the 1st - he was robbed in the 1st. But Ward exposed Kov's body frailties in the 2nd for sure.

i thought he won the first also, but the trend had started to turn in wards favor already. kovalev just didnt get mean, when he needed to get mean. he was intimidated by ward.

First ward was brought in to be an opponent the super 6 was supposed to be a showcase for Kessler and Abraham the co favorites to build them up to the American public in an attempt to make them into stars.

Kessler was the favorite in that fight against ward he lost badly no excuses.

Ward beat froch fair and square and beat him worse than anyone he fought.

The irony of the super 6 is the two Co favorites failed and the two underdogs in ward and froch rose to the occasion.

Ward moving up to face a guy 80% of the people on this forum thought would ko him is daring to be great. He faced adversity and beat it. Ggg never did anything close to that he stayed at 160 in a dead division feasting on no hopers looking for easy paydays when a elite guy ike ward wanted a piece of him.

Lastly usyk fights on the road because of money he can't make money fighting at home if he could he would. Wlad had to fight away from the Ukraine in Germany to make money as well. That's the way it is.

I didn't bring Canelo into it, I was responding to posts about Canelo that were being discussed. If you haven't noticed, Canelo gets brought up in a lot of topics that don't have to do with him. I'm rarely the one bringing up Canelo. It's usually me responding to wild statements said about him, like claims that he didn't beat GGG, or whatever the case may be.

Both of those facts are incorrect. When 90% of the public believe otherwise, you will can throw those results out the window. Perfect example is " fact" Chavez had a draw with whiticker. Another fact, Bradley beat Pacquiao in their first fight, All those facts have one thing in common and that is, almost nobody agree's with those results.

Actually Wards big superfights were against Kovalev and the first fight was 160,000 ppv buys and their 2nd fight was 130,000 so not great but not bad. Golovkin vs Lemieux was 150,000 and GGG vs Jacobs was 170,000 ppv buys. So they were pretty close, but GGG was much more popular at the time in my opinion.

He took all his belts with that robbery. Ward should have one loss on his record and that is to Kovalev. Kovalev should be known as the only man to have beaten Ward, but Ward is walking around like he's never been beat, just like Canelo walking around acting like he never lost to GGG.

Ward has always been a diva. He had a juicy contract with RocNation so his "star power" wouldn't help GGG.

Robbery, you shouldn't even use kovalev vs Ward 1 as an example of Ward being better.

GGG slapped him around the ring with his jab. Canelo was on the run in fight 1, GGG out worked him twice.

I recall Golovkin turning down a Ward fight too. So I think they both turned down fights with the other.
