Liston was outweighed by Tyson and didn't remotley have the elusive footwork /balance nor serious height Tyson was used to at guys over 6'3 and style to be considered a favorite here. You guys are talking about a flat footed lunging jabber when he throws meaningful shots that you think is going to be able to continuosly land on Tyson? Its actually the other way around,how the hell does Liston keep Tyson off him? Ruddock for example was 6'3 230 plus pounds when Tyson fought him with tremendous power and was also fast and much more moving than Liston was. you dont beat Tyson by just trying to bully him ,you need more than that.

What else did Williams really do? Machen gave Liston a good fight. Folley was pretty much on par with Machen (a better technical boxer to be honest) but was not as durable as Machen, he was stopped in the 3rd round. Liston outweighed Patterson by about 30 Lbs. and stopped him in the 1st round twice... Patterson was not known for his durability. On the inside Tyson would land quick and powerful shots to the body and head... hooks, uppercuts, crosses, overhand rights, even some jabs at close range. I'm not saying it would be easy, but I do think Tyson would win.
Agreed . The early rounds would go to Tyson because he will beat Liston to the punch time and time again . He is so much faster and explosive compared to LIston . I feel Liston will weather the storm , In his prime the man can absorb a beating , it didn't discourage him . I see Liston jab being a huge weapon in this fight and feel it will eventually lead to Tyson demise . I feel anybody that stands up to a Prime Liston will fall hard .

how anybody ever picks son is odd easy to read and slow shouldnt be a reason to ever say he would win when he would be destroyed he never fought anybody with the level of defense and timing of Mike let alone the other things he had over him really shouldnt need it to be explained how mike wins would be over in the 1st and fast
How do these fantasy fights work? Are we assuming neither has seen the other fight before? Are we assuming both have seen each other fight? I'd give Tyson a good shot against any fighter ever, IF they hadn't seem him fight before -- that opening blitzkrieg would just be too much of a shock. Assuming they've seen each other fight, I tend to think Liston could pull it off.
Liston is so slow and his defense is too bad for Tyson. You could just see all the openings of Liston that Tyson could capitalize off. People act like everyone who can jab will win against Tyson, but he beat Tucker, Briggs, and Tillis. Liston also doesn't have the movement either to keep Tyson off himself. So Tyson ko's the **** out of Liston.

How is he all wrong for Tyson? Ruddock wasn't either intimidated by Tyson and how did that go? Tyson traded blow for blow, tanked all of Ruddock's bombs without flinching. Same with Tucker but Tyson didn't fold, he outboxed him. The mindset that Tyson folds if isn't afraid of him is straight bull****.
