Bellew was hit and miss tonight. Good until he talked about Okolie at Bridgerweight and he was chatting nonsense talking about how AJ was a better athlete than Uysk. Usyk was faster, had more conditioning, and higher work rate. He is clearly the better athlete.

 

Klitshko fight ruined AJ. Made him very gun shy, he stopped trying to take out his opponents early on. You can't try to box with Usyk

 

It would be nice, though, if people stopped downplaying Joshua as useless. If Joshua was useless, then Usyk beating him wasn't a fair test of the old school guys vs modern superheavyweights.

Joshua is solidly one of the best of our era, and a legitimate superheavyweight contender. And an Ali-sized fighter just thrashed him.

 

You'd think Tony would know that, he's got firsthand experience of it.

Backed Usyk ever since the fight was first spoke about and not surprised at the outcome one bit but hope all the bellends (Fury) don’t come out gloating at another man’s failure.

Hearn has been pretty fair and humble on Sky. Thrown in a line about medics checking the eye socket, but pointing out that AJ will have to change a lot for the rematch because the better man won.

The rematch will be a Matchroom blockbuster I'm sure, and I can't imagine he doesn't have options on Usyk. He's OK whatever happens.

 

I missed Roy Jones in commentary so much, glad he's back!

Thought Usyk would win by stoppage in the later rounds and sounds like he came close, said in post interviews his corner told him just to box instead.

I don't think he's ever mentally recovered after the first Ruiz fight, he's been scared to engage properly since then and he clearly doesn't have the best chin either.

 

Roy Jones and Mathew Macklin talked absolute nonsense the whole fight. Bigging up AJ constantly despite the fact he did nothing. Even as I'm typing this RJJ is going on about how great AJ was.
