Let’s be fair. AJ was good enough for this era for a few years wasn’t he?

I appreciate this thread's sentiment and all, but there's no way tonight's Usyk could have been competitive with the likes of Primo Carnera.

Yet still There is an argument for this. Primo had a lot more professional experience before he got to championship level

No, your argument is and always has been slightly different.

You've argued the big guys now, would not have been as good back then.

Big difference between saying don't make AJ favourite over every HW who came before and saying AJ wouldn't have been a top contender yesteryear.

I have also been saying for years that the true heavyweight, is within the limit of the modern cruiserweights too. That was the point I quoted and the point I am making here. We are talking in the ring and on the night with a range of 176- 220lb.

The new manufactured species that is “Superheavyweight” is not true heavyweight and should, as it is in Amatuer boxing, be called SHW.

crusierweight should be called “heavyweight” and the word “cruiserweight” should go.

A classic sized heavyweight is cruiserweight.

The Superheavyweights need their own division.

You don’t think the true heavyweight, is within the limit of the modern cruiserweights too?

isn’t it true that best heavyweights in history have weighted between 190 and 220lb? Jack Dempsey to Larry Holmes.

Isn’t it true that men today within 190-220 are well within the “on the night” weights of the so called, and incorrectly labelled, modern “cruiser-weights”.

Did a more classic sized heavyweight (padded up) not just beat your so called super heavyweight?

Keep an eye out for all the modernists tripping over as they rapidly depart the Joshua train and try and wipe all evidence away that they were ever on it.
