McCracken is trash. Most notorious ABC boxing style, national level trainer there is. If AJ wants to grow, he needs to get rid of McCracken and get in Roach, Sugar Hill or heck even mcguigan jr. He needs to focus on his strengths, not this ABC boxing rubbish. Always making key fundamental mistakes- fighting like the shorter man, too much body punching, uppercuts from the outside etc...

For the record, Fury fan here (although the more he neglects his family life, the less a fan of him I am...)

Yeah he seems to of regressed. He seems to be more about the sweet science these days, it’s not his strength.

Many here are already naming "Fast" Eddie Chambers as a solid switchup for big Joshy. He knows the game in and out.

    I can't help but agree.

Ultimately it's the fighters who fight in the ring. ATG fighters rely on their instincts and make rapid adjustments on the fly depending on the fight situation. Given the amount of hype AJ gets and money he keeps getting, he should have been able to make the adjustments necessary. The fighters are on their own for 36 minutes, the corner only speak to them for 24 minutes but ultimately they can't fight for you

This is true, but you have to wonder what McCracken has him working on in the gym. His style had changed a fair bit the last few years.

Joshua needed to go back to basics to beat Ruiz in the rematch, it was the right move at the time and definitely the way he could beat Ruiz. However, it seems Joshua's take home lesson from that experience was that he needed to do the same thing for every fight moving forwards - a complete mistake. He tried to box a boxer tonight and got comprehensively beaten

I was worried for him when he was being asked about his plan at the weigh in. See 56:00 here -

. Of course neither fighter wanted to give away their game plan, but there's ways of saying it, and AJ made me feel worried for him. He says "there is no game plan, the plan is to win", he said something similar in other interviews. Of course the plan is to win! How is the big question, and straight away it was clear his team had gone about it in the wrong way

I'm just not sure about him, I listen to him working the corner and he doesn't impress me.. he doesn't seem to inspire AJ, it's like he is there to reign AJ in, he doesn't seem to gee AJ up.

AJ loves him, so I suppose that's all that matters and I don't know who else would be a better fit for AJ if I'm honest.

All this time I have watched AJ he has not really developed into a savvy pro he fights basic like an amateur I am a believer in mastering the basics but he doesn't seem to understand strategy setups and traps.....the things that made Lennox Lewis great....if it wasn't for his size, conditioning and strength and being able to outsize other heavyweights he would have been beaten a long time ago.
