Joshua/Wilder still does more $$ than Fury/Usyk

In case anyone needed reminding that boxing is entertainment, the losers of the "semifinal" absolutely would make more money than the winners. It's not merit, it's commercial. And Joshua/Wilder is still the most commercial fight in the HW division.

It's a shame they didn't fight when they were both on top, but now it's too late. I suspect Wilder is physically declined, and Joshua appears to be shrinking mentally. Still a fun fight, tho. Unless Wilder lands a thunderbolt on Fury in two weeks -- and he could -- I'd still love to see the fight with Joshua.

Wilder would KO AJ very quickly, look at Ruiz clubbing him to the floor, then imagine Wilder doing the same but with even more power and ferocity. It's not rocket science.

That's a separate conversation and I think a lot of us would like to find out.

Ruiz is a better boxer than Wilder.

I am not sure about Joshua-Wilder. Yes, Joshua is chinny but so is Wilder. Joshua is much more skilled than Wilder.

If Joshua properly uses his jab and lands a few thunderous rights early, Wilder would be too weak to do anything.

On the other hand, if Wilder connects early, he would stop him.

    I would favour Joshua here.

True but Wilder would find AJ so easy to hit, even with his wild looping shots, something will land and then it's goodnight.

It would have to land several times. Wilder does not have the skills to do that.

Nope not a chance. AJ may not be as good as Usyk or Fury but he still wipes the floor with Wilder. Wilder only has a big right hand, one he telegraphs badly. AJ literally walks right through him, utter mismatch in my opinion, always has been, always will be.

Can't see it tbh. Joshua will be tentative then Wilder simply loops shots over his guard til the KO.

AJ is prone to getting hit with lefts, Whyte, Ruiz, Povetkin and Usyk prime examples of that. Wilder's left hand is no threat, all he has is that big telegraphed right hand that Joshua will see coming a mile away and block with his lead hand as Wilder doesn't arc it like Lewis did, it's why Fury was able to just post with the lead hand and take away Wilder's right in the rematch.

AJ is far more skilled than Wilder, always has been and the gap in skill and ring IQ has only grown over the years. AJ would out jab Wilder, back him up then KO him. I honestly don't think Wilder sees the 4th round.

Why would he be tentative, everyone knows Wilder can't fight on the back foot, back him up and take him apart, easy nights work. Even before Fury did it I've been saying Wilder can't fight on the back foot, fights vs Washington and Szpilka proved that, struggled when he tried to box but the moment he stood his ground he KO'ed them. Joshua isn't an idiot he knows the game plan to beat Wilder and he's versatile enough the execute it and walks right through him, easiest nights work for Joshua since Martin.

As for Joshua/Wilder, maybe it happens, maybe it doesn't. Fact is Wilder was only irrelevant when he had a title, Joshua only wanted him to unify and now that's off the cards we can forget Wilder getting a 100 mill for Joshua. Only way Wilder gets the fight is if he willing to finally accept he's B side and this time with no leverage. I think Wilder's ego won't like that and he won't take the fight.

Joshua isn't an idiot but Wilder would just windmill through him, he is AJ's boogeyman.

Ortiz has cement feet, no head movement and backs up in a straight line and it took Wilder 7 rounds to land a right hand. Joshua isn't going to walk into something early against Wilder. I see AJ finding the mark long before Wilder.
