Nope, thats not how rematches work. Kiev would not be able to generate the $$$$$ gate as England, or AMerica... This is what Eddie Hearn said.

It's a damn shame that it won't happen in Ukraine as it should.

Location is about the gate revenue. UK > Ukraine

In an ideal world, yeah it would be in Ukraine.

Hearn has already ruled out Ukraine which I think is a very cowardly move. I appreciate financially and logistically it’s a challenge - but to rule it out with the fight mere hours old shows a lack of class and lack of respect towards Usyk.

Obviously he has to look after his asset - and we all know Joshua would not fancy the absolute cauldron of noise in Kiev that would make last night look quiet in comparison.

They’ll want it as they’ve always has it - every marginal advantage weighted towards Joshua with loads of little fake mates celebrity guests and Tony Bellew in attendance.

Eddie thinks that he is God.

I think yeah, Kiev doesn't generate enough live gates. Exactly cos this Usyk had to fight in CW: Poland, Germany, Latvia, Russia, U.K and U.S.
Kind of ppl capable to buy tickets for normal by euro standard purses in Kiev does exists, however not large% from them are hardcore boxing fans or interested in boxing.
Imagine % of senior level ( by US standard of level here ) tech specialists rushing to buy tickets for boxing event?

I think good might be US, for example MSG, or Russia, Germany.

    It hardly matters.

Bar some kind of fluke (Usyk suffers a mid-fight injury which severely inhibits his performance), Joshua loses again, and almost certainly inside the distance.

Hope it’s in Kiev. I wanna see the Ukrainians boo the British national anthem and have AJ shut everyone up like Usyk did tonight

    I should've clarified;

It hardly matters in terms of the outcome of the fight itself. Usyk's supporters needn't be very worried about the location influencing that.

This is the reality of the situation. Money decides the location, it's more likely to be in the UK or some place like Dubai because money will dictate the venue.

There’s a reason the Klits fought in Germany for 10 years.

There is no reason it wouldn't make good money in Kiev.

It would be a huge gate, it would still be a Sky PPV.
