Disgraceful. Then the Italian judge score in Marku fight, and Howard Fosters giving Joshua the first 2 rounds of fight. Shocking.

I know AJ made a fortune of the ppv and then a fortune of the adverts during the ppv.

    I've seen the future.
The re-match will be in the Ukraine on Christmas day.
Joshua will go and live in a wooden shack in the Ukrainian countryside.
He will be chopping Wood,in the snow.
He will be doing pull ups in a vest with no advertising on it.
He will grow a beard throughout the training camp.
Usyk will be on top during the fight but joshua will find a shot from the gods that has the partisan crowd suddenly cheering the lad from Watford.
Eddie and Bomber Bellew will lift his hands in celebration.
    What a Christmas present.

yeah that’s it. It’s not just the physical fatigue but also mental fatigue when boxers fight Usyk because his output and pressure is non stop and as you said he keeps you guessing. You rarely see a fighter above MW with so much head movement, feinting and lateral movement non stop in a fight.

It was most obvious in the Bellew fight where you could see Bellew fatiguing literally minute by minute in the fight.

Credit to AJ for facing possibly the toughest mandatory defence in boxing when he could’ve vacated and rematched a pudding in Ruiz or Whyte. No shame in losing to Usyk but I can’t help but feel he has levelled out and all this learning on the job nonsense has to stop. He is in his 30’s, in double figures of world title fights and has more experience than anyone in fighting in front of large stadium crowds. He’s going to end his career with 3-4 defeats now but if those are to Usyk again and say Fury then credit to the man for taking the hardest fights.

    Did he land anything meaningful?

He is the heavyweight version of Ricky Burns - a very good fighter, very good carefully matched career and World Champion but never elite level.

I think most have known for a while he isn’t quite at that level. I respect AJ massively though for not shying from any challenges. He’s gonna be massively up against it in the rematch, he knows it but you can guarantee he’ll take it on.

Two big right hands at a max. Way too gun shy, what on earth was he thinking he could outbox Usyk. Hope he loses the rematch.

I'm not doubting that he is a boxer who will face challenges. I mean, that's what his job is to do as the heavyweight champion. But how does facing the dross he has faced, spun by Hearn as "top 10" as if that means anything, result in this reputation of a man who will face all comers? He has also had just about every win in the UK, and the one time he won elsewhere, it was in a neutral venue on a typical Matchroom setup.

I don’t think McCracken is good for AJ anymore. All he was telling him was “get behind the jab” essentially telling him just to box which isn’t what the plan should’ve been.

it’s a job as heavyweight to make title defences, something Fury hasn’t done once since he turned champion 6 years - keep it consistent mate. AJ isn’t as skilled as some but he has faced plenty of challenges where he could’ve lost and has lost.

What are you talking about re: Fury? I'm not sure where you're going with that. Fury has his own problems, but he's certainly not overrated and since 2008, by and large, has been vastly underrated. Fury, these days, seems to want to pick his bouts carefully, but is willing to actually travel and face the highest level of opposition. If he is due to face Usyk and does not do so, then it will be a clear duck.

He's had, after last night, a total of two fifty-fifty bouts in his career. The first being an old, inactive Klitschko coming off a loss, in a bout in which he went life and death and nearly lost. The second being against Usyk, who has almost no experience at heavyweight, and was comprehensively beaten and won two rounds if he's lucky. He even managed to lose against an absolute pudding in Rice Pudding Jr.

What other bouts were even close to being fifty-fifty?

Those big hands were destroying most other fighters
