It would be very intriguing to watch, probably not very exciting though.

Usyk is a 190 pounder at heart. A classic heavyweight.

If you are good enough, you are big enough. Joe Louis and Jack Dempsey showed this many times.

The super heavyweight division is littered with big guys coming late into boxing from other sports. A division of fighters learning in the job. Relying on size and power. AJ was a good student. But he learnt on the job.

Usyk is old school. His background in boxing was more advanced. He was good enough to do what he did. He didn’t need to be bigger. He probably didn’t need to be as big as he was.

I had predicted Uysk to outbox Joshua but lose a controversial decision. Im surprised he wasn't robbed. Joshua was ready to go at the end as well, they ended the fight early to save him from the KO loss.

But there, all of you who act like I don't know ****, I predicted how a real fight with a huge size discrepancy would go down.

I will also add Uysk lacks the x factor of HW punching power and at 34 is not particularly fast, he won the day with feints, constant movement, and stamina. A very old school way. "Standing in front of his guy with his chin out"

You have to like the chances of a couple of Usky's cruiserweight opponents to do OK ay heavyweight now.

You don't think Okolie will have a say at HW?

Usyk still loses to Fury. Styles make fights a lot of the time and AJ s was good for Usyk.
Wouldn't be same against Fury, different kettle of fish for me.
Fury gets a decision win over Usyk.

This fight proves some huge things to the less educated of our forum that if a skinny wimp like Usyk could whip Joshua ATG "Big" James would crush him.

Big James would have beat Usyk easy done honestly.

Did you see Usyk`s movement, are you mad? He was brilliant, Ali would have been too fast for AJ and when AJ did land Usyk took it pretty well.

It depends what kind of background the future champions have who climb to the top of the cruiserweight division have.

I would like to see career 200 pounders moving into that division from the amateurs and concentrating on that division rather than have older guys moving up from LHW or younger guys staying only so long until they developing their physiques to become SHWs.

If it’s a bunch of guys with small amateur experience contesting for titles at the 20-0 stage it probably will take a while.

But if it’s seasoned pros honing their skills in competitive matches in a division they want to stay in them it will develop great fighters that are as well rounded as Usyk was last night.

CW could potentially become the breeding pool for skilful HW’s that LH used to be in the 1940s.

I just wish CW was called HW as it is in amateur boxing. They really are the classic sized heavyweights today.
