Thing is at 32 can you remake the Joshua wheel? Wlad was 27 when he got in Steward and it was a longterm project that eventually led to dominance. Joshua needs an instant fix and I don't see how his fundamentals can be altered at this stage.

Winner of Fury/Wilder should fight Whyte around same time as Joshua v Usyk rematch then winners fight each other next autumn in an undisputed fight. No more rematch clauses or excuses please.

Conditions were also suitable for this to be enabled. Brother holding the other belt for a fair while and a reign over crap opposition. There's much better competition around these days.

Maybe, I think with the other fighters it was more of an accumulation rather than single shots. He barely laid a glove on Usyk and yet you have people on this board who thought it was a close fight, cuckoo cuckoo.

Say what you want about Eddie Hearn but I have to admit he puts on spectacular events when he gets it right.

Those rough and tough days that AJ talks about, now on loop in my brain, those rough and tough days..........it's just training man, just going to the gym and getting those P's. I expect to hear that line on a British Army advert, not an Under Armour one.

If someone gave you the money that he has to put these nights together do you think you'd do any worse? That's the issue here, he could always get it right, Channel 5 manage it for a fraction of the cost, if Eggington was on last night's card against any of the half decent British 154's or 160's it would have improved things dramatically. The Okolie fight was an absolute joke.

    100%

It was a wonderful performance from Usyk.

He stopped Joshua from imposing his own game on proceedings by neutralising Joshua's artillery, it amazed me that it took until the 9th (or 10th) for Joshua to land his 1st meaningful body shot.

Yes, I got it wrong but I'll never hide when such a dominant performance trips me up.

    I scored it 119 - 111.

From the score cards, we can all tell who was the Brit, Ukrainian and American. 115 - 113 was a joke.

Usyks career performance to date, he got everything spot on. Joshua however now has 2 defeats in 4, a 3rd in 5 (re-match) would leave him off the top table for a long time which is why I'd advise him to rebuild over the next 12 - 14 months with 3 Top 10 fights.

The gravy train is now showing signs of stuttering and potentially derailing.

Lastly, although Matchroom want the immediate re-match, should it not happen, who is lined up 1st for Usyk? Voluntary?

Weren’t Okolie’s fight the WBO chosen mandatory ? Not really Hearn’s fault is it?

AJ elected to have a boxing match with a faster and more skilful boxer albeit physically smaller. The adage of big beating small usually applies when the smaller guy gets bullied and gets tired and that game plan wasn’t executed . I don’t know if AJ is capable of doing that as he is suspect in gas and chin department! Chisora gave Uyzk more issues as he at least tried to fight a physical fight. I think Josh Taylor, who was excellent in all his summaries, got in right in that fighting that type of fight Uyzk would beat AJ 10 times out of 10 ! Not sure where AJ goes from here at 31 I doubt he can make the adjustments required to beat Uyzk .
