Horribile idea, imagine possessing that kind of punching power and cracking AJ's jaw with the mitts, the Zab dance would be a gym regular.

He needs to learn the jab and grab. It helped Wlad come back from two bad losses and he ruled for years. Less punching and more excessive holding! Emmanuel Steward is gone, but there is another...Norman "Stoney" Stone!

Jab and grab won't help him vs Usyk who's too quick and agile and can beat AJ to the punch. Jab and grab only works if you can get off first and then smother the counter, also such a tactic would negate Joshua's inside game. If Joshua tried to mimic Wlad in the rematch he'll be lucky to win a single round.

What he needs to learn his lead hand control. This is what Steward taught Lewis and Hearns before him. Fight tall and long but when outsped against a fighter who can get inside and land, post, lean, push, collar tie them so they are unbalanced and out of position but more importantly doing this will set them up for the right hand. This is basically what Fury did in the Wilder rematch, used the lead hand to control Wilder, move him into positions where Fury could not only land the right hand but land it with real power.

    Come on.. sing with me

Where it began, I can't begin to knowing
But then I know it's growing strong
    Was in the spring
    And spring became the summer
Who'd have believed you'd come along
    Hands, touching hands
Reaching out, touching me, touching you
    Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
    I've been inclined
    To believe they never would
    But now I.....

call me crazy but Wlad would be a perfect trainer for AJ but as of now wlads not a trainer, usyk is ukrainian and i suspect wlad still wants to come back for one big mega fight when there is a final champion.

Skills pay the bills and Usyk is the far far far superior fighter to AJ. All AJ has on Usyk is size, weight and power. Even in the clinch Usyk was able to hold his own against the much bigger man and no matter what game plan AJ came with or trainer in his corner, and McCracken has done great things for him, he wouldn't have won, had he tried to be more aggressive Usyk would've still boxed his ears off and walked him into big counters which he's just not equipped to avoid due to the huge gulf in class between them and he would've been blowing out of his ass in the second half of the fight if not sooner and got KTFO.

That was a very inactive Usyk who had only fought twice in three years, had only had 2 fights at the weight since moving up and the first one wasn't even a real fight because Witherspoon only turned up to shell up and survive and Usyk still beat AJ's ass in his own backyard in front of close to 70,000 AJ fans on a deck which was about as stacked against him in AJ's favour and against him as it could be against a fighter who held huge physical advantages over him.

You are a fool because I was one of the few who strongly favoured Fury over Wilder both times.

When AJ tried to clinch last night, he didn't appear to be much stronger. Usyk extracted himself pretty easily. That really surprised me...

Manny Steward would have been telling Joshua he needed a KO from R10 , McCracken is useless.
